Journalist Jeremy Scahill, a frequent panelist on “Real Time With Bill Maher,†was booked to appear this Friday but canceled after he found out Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos would also be a guest. Yiannopoulos is known for his provocative stories with such headlines as “Gay rights have made us dumber, it’s time to get back in the closet.†He was also permanently banned from Twitter last year — a feat that takes some doing.
No, it does not take much other than political incorrectness to get banned from Twitter. Check out the list of banned accounts:

I admire Bill Maher. I don't agree with a lot of what he says, but he has principles.
Here's another example of Fake News designed to privilege a narrative.
Both videos start with one token nice thing - something I've seen more and more of, along with misleading neutral or positive headlines and an overwhelmingly negative piece - and then a "cascade" of negativism. This is to trick Trump supporters into reading propaganda.
"...and rallying his hundreds of thousands of followers to direct racist, sexist missives to her."
People did apparently direct racists and sexist messages to her, but to say that Milo rallied them to do that is an inference, not fact, and not news but opinion.
