How come plagiarizing recipes from websites is legit? I see it everywhere.
Also another weird thing is a recipe from one website will be the accepted universal standard. As decided by people who never actually had the dish served to them by anyone to even judge the standard by.
Nobody ever types up their recipes and post them, it's always something they just Googled.
That's not recipe sharing, that's "there's a Google for that".
On Gab the cuisine section, 80% of recipes posted there are from one of the Foodie major websites. There's a few guys that has their own foodie blog, but they just copy recipes from the major Food nets.
I find the same bullshit with Tablature and lyrics on song websites. It wont even be the complete tab on it. But because someone made a half assed attempt to start the tab. It then becomes the version that every website uses.
The draw back from that is, if you are in a forum, and you ask if anyone knows how to play that song. You're going to get some of those "There's a Google for that" that will provide you with the same shitty version you even say in your post you are already aware of. It prohibits someone from actually creating a better tab version and puts the kibosh on any further discussion on the topic.
And in programming this same format is even worse, because then there's forum moderators that close threads, after THEY'VE decided the question has been answered.
When there's a million and one ways(at least!) to code anything! You're really stiffing effective thought exchange by just declaring one thought process the Democratic elected solution. That's not how science works.

Web 2.0 turned out to be huge fucking dud! We're robbed of so much richness and fullness Web 1.0 provided. Personal web space(blank slate) was much more useful than Social media space(closed space limited to social options).

If I had my way Social media today would still be that personal Website your Internet provider gave you.
