Popular conservative/libertarian channel Prager U is once again being censored by Google and YouTube for a video deemed too hateful. The video is titled Born to Hate Jews, and while the title seems dark, the message is the exact opposite. The speaker this time around is Kasim Hafeez, founder of the Israel Campaign, and in the video he tells the story of his journey from being a Muslim who came very close to being a terrorist against Israel, to a man whose first hand education led him to stand with country he previously hated. The core of his message is...

He has got to be on an Islamic hit list. Every Muslim like him get death threats.

British Muslim, twenty eight year old Hafeez grew up in a predominantly Muslim area where 'Israel was Satan'. 'The level of hostility towards Israel', he explains 'went from suspicion to out and out hatred and anti-Semitism..' A visit to Pakistan as a teenager, brought the young man face to face with the 'glorification of radical terror groups' and he drifted towards radical Islamism. By the time he reached British university, 'a hub of anti-Israel activity... where my anti-Israel activism was given oxygen and thrived', Hafeez was already deeply committed to the 'Israel and the Jews are evil' idea'. 'I'll admit...

Born to Hate the Jews was one of Bruce Springsteen's less popular songs until he changed the lyrics.

Interestingly, he claims that he was interested in Jihad not because Islam told him to. He says it was because he was taught that Jews were evil and practicing genocide against Muslims. The only reason for expanding hatred to the West in general was the West's support of Israel. So, from this guy's perspective, it looks like a political and tribal issue more so than a fundamentally religious one.

I point this out, because of the common discussion on this site of whether the Islam terrorist problem is inherent to the religion and it's text or if it is a political/cultural problem that can be separated from the fundamental nature of the religion. The distinction is not theoretical, because the answer changes the way you fight the terrorism problem.

"Islamic terrorist problem is inherent to the religion"
Yes it is inherent. Islam has always preached hate and violence to anything and everyone it disagrees with.
If Islam was peaceful, we would have seen it by now.

That's a good point.

I think it's definitely a combination effect: Islam definitely instructs Muslims that non-Muslims must be killed if they refuse to convert or pay, but such violence is generally not practiced except when linked to a tribal grievance, like the existence of Israel.

"kill them wherever you find them" http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/pages/quran/violence.aspx

The thing is, the Koran was apparently written by someone with a fucking huge chip on his shoulder, ready to be offended at the slightest insult. Read it yourself. The tone is one of continuous tribal grievance and hate for those who refused to join the movement.

No, sadly that is not the kind of example that Patrick wants to generalize from.

* Cut off all support for Saudi Arabia, the source of the most insanely violent form of Islam, Wahhabism. If we really care about democracy, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, the rights of gays to at least not be murdered, the legal equality of women, etc, we should not touch anything Saudi with a 40 foot pole. It's beyond hypocritical to invade secular Iraq after wacko Saudis deliberately murder thousands of Americans.

* Expropriate all Saudi assets in America in retaliation for 9/11.

* Try Bandar bin Sultan for planning 9/11, and determine how much George W. Bush knew about his childhood buddy's planning of 9/11.

* Completely eliminate immigration of Muslims, and explicitly point out that it's because Muslims commit almost all terrorism, and they all justify it with Islam. This is a kind of sanction about bad behavior supported by the majority of Muslims.

* Get all our military out of all Muslim countries. Don't give them the easy excuse for terrorism.

* Do not import any oil at all from any Muslim-majority country. Get reliant on our own energy sources. I don't care if it's coal. Just get off the Mideast oil teat.

I agree with this to some degree. Based on the actions of Bush, Obama, and now Trump, I'm guessing that there is some reason that we are dependent on them beyond oil prices. Ideally, we'd back out of whatever situation we are in.

Patrick says

Expropriate all Saudi assets

Seems like punishing someone for someone else's crime - punishment by association. I don't like it. Patrick says

Try Bandar bin Sultan for planning 9/11

OK, might as well try him to see what shakes out. Patrick says

Completely eliminate immigration of Muslims, and explicitly point out that it's because Muslims commit almost all terrorism, and they all justify it with Islam.

I think this would backfire. It would just reaffirm in Muslim minds that we are against all Muslims rather than just the terrorists.
Patrick says

Get all our military out of all Muslim countries.

What's the practical end to that? What becomes of the Middle East?
Patrick says

Do not import any oil at all from any Muslim-majority country.

We would have to not import any oil period. Oil's fungible. If we buy from elsewhere, then they will sell to someone else. The reason we buy from Saudi is that our refineries are set up for light crude, we don't use a lot of diesel, and it would be inefficient to buy heavier oil. Get on board with the Dems and ask for efficiency standards and alternative energy.

Muslims already know their religion is anathema to western civilization and every other religion. They would completely understand even though they'd make noises and threats to the contrary. Cutting off Muslim immigration would
1) make Muslims in America safer to practice a reformed, non-violent sort of Islam. No outside threat of newly arrived barbarians to enforce strict adherence to Mohammed's creed.
2) keep American cities from developing Muslim ghettos, where terrorism can fester.

These are contradictory statements. There are many ways to practice Islam just as there are many sects in Christianity. You are essentially arguing that the fundamentalist Muslims are correct, and that the Muslims in America are not real Muslims, but are just practicing some 'sort' of Islam.

1. Or the Muslim may get trapped in a "Time Freeze" zone , very common for secluded immigrants, who cling to the time when brought here.
2, This country needs immigtants to grow. The alternative to 2 is bringing more immigrants from "educationally developed yet poor coutries", such as Far east, China, India, East Europe.

Stoning to death adulterers
Chopping off the right arm for stealing pizza
Beating women who show their faces

Yep. Now, not all Israelis are Zionists, and not all Zionists hate daily. But the essence of Zionism, the inner core of Zionism is all about hatred of Muslims and world domination.

This is a man who was at the heart of regime change. I am not telling you his name, but this is his email. It is authentic:

http://www.wickedzionism.com/p/blog-page_17.html

He responded to me when I asked him about his responsibility, as a Zionist, for the regime change that has taken place in the middle east.

His response to me shocked me, and I was stunned by the hatred. These were a few of his exact words:

"fuvk you get lost die from cancer you son of the bitch get lost go to hell stupi moran may you die with all of them together."

The terrible words were an example of someone who thinks that there was nothing wrong with the killing of innocent men and women and children where regime change took place, namely in Iraq, Syria, Libya and other nations targeted by the neocons for this regime change.

This man is a bigot, no less than Pamela Geller, who hates all peaceful religious Muslims. This man and Geller have exhibited the real face of Zionism, which is not Judaism in any way.

Gary - those who have been historically persecuted by Islam (like the Israelis) may have some hatred in their hearts to extremists.

I am sure Yazidis and Christian minorities who have suffered genocide and ethnic cleansing by Islamists in recent years have some hatred in their hearts too.

The only thing that is preventing Israelis from being trapped on a mountain top and sold into sexual slavery like the Yazidis, is that they have the weapons and wherewithal to defend themselves. For some reason, it bugs people like you that Israel refuses to suffer the same fate as all of the other non-Muslim religious minorities in the Region.

THere is some truth to this. I sat next to an Israeli dude on a plane flight once, and he explained to me that peace was impossible becasue many Muslims will never give up until Israel is destroyed. In other words many hate Muslims for the same reasons you do. They believe they are evil and will never stop coming at them violently.

I don't think this is proof that Israeli's are taught to hate Muslims. I wasn't taught to hate Muslims, but I agree that many Muslims will never accept peace - one state or two. That doesn't make peace impossible, but many people consider it a very long shot at best if not impossible.
