Personally I would enjoy the peace and quiet.

No nagging for one whole day. It's like a dream.

Actually I would like this occasionally at home. I have been reminding the women I work with. Unfortunately, most are still planning on coming in.

I've had several conversations about this day and still don't understand the point?

Awesome.

This takes me to a conversation I had last week. A former co-worker was highly incompetent but managed to do VERY well on a recent civil service exam. Inexplicably she passed on interviewing for several positions. Despite ALL being upper level management positions in an office, she felt she was "above" working in those bureau's. The conversation I had about this was that not only did I not look down on the guys that are garbage men, sewer workers, or other blue collar jobs, but I look at them almost as heros...guys who suck it up and perform crap work for good pay so that they can support themselves and their families. The fact of the matter is I would do those jobs if need be.

Funny that me, the middle aged supervisor with the hernia and poor medical history, is the schmuck who moves the boxes, fixes the broken crap, moves the computers, etc.

There seems to be some confusion.

Go look in the mirror.

It's a day without women, not a day without goats. So why do you care?

The point is that the illegal immigrants were getting all the attention with a day without immigrants. So naturally the narcissists had to create a day of their own. All attention must go to them.

That thing has flopped miserably.

They got fired. Idiots.

It is ok that they do not go to work- as long as they stay home and cook and clean!

13   Tenpoundbass   2017 Mar 8, 12:28pm

I drove to work in 15 minutes instead of the usual 45 it takes.
Not to sound sexist but if women would just stay home and take care of the house more.
Then the sooner us men can get to work to earn our higher wages then get home to take out the trash and kiss their butts.

14   georgeliberte   2017 Mar 8, 12:40pm

Strangely it has been quieter than usual at work so far. Maybe the women know they should not be here.

16   NuttBoxer   2017 Mar 8, 1:05pm

In other words a day without...

nagging
talking about "feelings"
distractions
pms
having to say "Let me get that for you"
emotional outbursts
pantsuits

Is there a way to extend this holiday?

Is it just me, or is this "Day without a woman" thing sounding exactly like Ayn Rand's "Atlas" shrugging? Except, of course, that women aren't exactly Atlas and they always shrug off the real work to a man.

18   theoakman   2017 Mar 8, 2:15pm

The first person to laugh at this day without women bullshit was my wife. I'd say that the feminist ideology only resonates with about 15% of women. 35% are indifferent to it but don't dare go against it. The other 50% are disgusted by it.

20   Y   2017 Mar 8, 7:46pm

never experienced that above. guess it must exist if you are posting about it.

21   Dan8267   2017 Mar 8, 8:50pm

I was skeptical about this at first, but A Day without Women has had a very positive effect on America. Traffic accidents went down by 98%.

Watching this video brings an old adage to mind, If you want something done right, do it yourself. Apparently the man who was quite patiently waiting for this driver to back into a spot finally decided to give it a go himself proving the old adage has some merit after all.

I have had a few times women ask me to parallel park their cars. They were all asian, foreign born.

Must combine A Day without Women with A Day without Asians for great traffic safety.

25   missing   2017 Mar 9, 8:45am

True asian women drivers, minivans... nightmare

But I specified that they were Asian and foreign born to illustrate another point - that they do acknowledge their driving shortcomings. That's a positive. Would American women go and ask a stranger on the street to park their car?

sorry you fucked up...

For me context is women in the workplace. I don't think any "women's" movement that attempts to separate wives from husbands would get much traction. Subscribers to this BS are usually lifelong singles, or younger women who just haven't met the right guy yet.

They were hitting on you, as well as testing your compliance.

Kind of a lose-lose situation for you actually. If you park for them, you've proven that you're their beta bitch. If you don't, you have basically rejected their advance, or worse, looked like you don't know how to parallel park.

Second option is actually the better one though, showing you are not all that impressed with their looks and not easily manipulated. A good answer might be "You look like the kinda girl who knows how to park a car."

Been reading too much Heartiste over the years.

The real PUA answer is
No, but I'll let you park my car.

If they compliment you on the good job you did, you can say you're a professional valet. Nothing gets a woman wet like a guy who parks cars for a living.
