People are delusional. Articles are not. Trump either wants to cut these budgets or he doesn't. You would refute the facts if you could. But you'd rather fling insults at people (WaPo) without backing it up.

Huge cuts coming to science budgets across the country. What this country needs now is not more science. We clearly just need to put religion back on a pedestal and get more promoters, carny barkers, wall builders, and warriors.

The fact is that the whitehouse has released a budget blueprint and published it on their web site. The press is reporting the facts about what is in this budget blueprint.

What does this have to do with science in general? You found some tiny scrap of research at Universities that doesn't make much sense, and use that to justify cutting major science budgets? That's like murdering 1/3 of the babies in the world, because five of them got malaria.

Wasn't that legislation a defensive measure against the policies of certain cities in NC? Just like the other legislation passed by Republicans trying to protect nuns being sued by Obama's DOJ for not providing abortion services in their healthcare plans.
In most cases, it is the Liberals who are on the offense in the culture wars forcing their new found views on the majority. Republicans are usually just playing defense.
IRT North Carolina - I figure that the tiny percentage of children who are mentally conflicted about their gender can use the faculty bathrooms.

IDK, but if so, why does the state legislature want to micromanage what localities decide to do? The republicans are using the culture wars to score political points, and any excessive focus on these issues is the result of both sides, here. If the Republicans really thought it was not important enough to spend time on, they wouldn't spend the time.
