A minor band (They Might Be Giants) plays cover for a one hit wonder (Chumbawamba), but they get the audience to join in and it's awesome.

I'm a drummer and just getting back into it. I love the sound of these drums on this album and this song specifically.

Numan's new song, very catchy. Interesting to see him being influenced by NIN, whom he influenced. His daughter Persia is the gal in it.

the girl is fucking hot

Alpert is the "A" of A&M records

He was always respected more as a businessman than a trumpet player.

OLLIE MUNDY, OF BURNING MAN FAME:
He is very prolific and generous too with his electronica mixes, real good for you to listen to while concentrating on other things like getting your work done. The music provides a groove and atmosphere and the occasional sample vocal, percussion, and sound effect to focus on.

It goes on and on for hours!

You can download hours of Ollie Mundy's electronica for free from Soundcloud.

Try it! ;-)

I have about 20 hours worth of Ollie Mundy downloaded now. I listen sometimes while reading and sometimes while doing yard work.

Jesus Christ, haven't heard that song in ages. I have a feeling I skew towards the younger demo here, but that was a high school song for me. I hated it then and upon listening to it again, it really is awful. The audio is horrific to be honest. The singing, my god. Was he not able to do multiple takes or is he really just that bad? The drums sound like shit too, but that's me being a drummer bias.

All my bashing aside, still has a solid melody and there's a reason it was a hit at the time. Could have been better though if you ask me. And I know you're not.

Mostly for the Belgian redhead. Guy was banging her, and you know from her face she was an intense lay.

This is going to come across as me being an ass. Not my intention. Do you actually like a song like this? Or are you just posting these to be weird?

I honestly don't care either way. Music is definitely an opinion. Not a chance in hell we're all going to agree on what's good. I guess I just don't understand this type of music. And this can of course be said for a lot of music. I check this thread out occasionally and you sometimes catch me with stuff I know and then there's this.

Well, I haven't thought of this song in years but when I was on the John I heard it in my head in a flash. Sure. I'm really digging the retrowave stuff the kids are making today:

Cool. I'm not judging, just weird music to me. Can't recall from other threads if you smoke pot, but I'd probably enjoy it more high, with some headphones on. My weird out stuff is something like Saucerful of Secrets by PF. The other PF mainstays rock, but I like that one and Animals is fucking delicious after a joint.

The one genre of music that really bothers me is country from personal experience. With pop music you know you're being sold a load of garbage, over produced, over sexed product. I actually do enjoy some of it. Country pretends to be authentic, but it's soooooo fake. Maybe worse then pop music.

Just had an acquaintance move down to Nashville. He's been there a year trying to do the country scene. The first video he posts pushing his music, about two weeks after moving, he's full blown throwing out the y'all and the southern accent BS. 2 Fucking weeks. 34 years in IL, same town from birth until his move.

They're literally coached to act that way by other country "musicians." Have your cheesy country lyrics, but to completely morph your personality to "try" and make it is a joke. Just make some good fucking music. If it's good people will buy it.

My god, that was a fucking tangent. Sorry.
