Real Americans would never resort to begging for a Police State headed by an Authoritarian administration, to sell off their last remaining liberties to the highest bidder.

How did we get here?

According to Thoreau there were no real men left in the country less than a generation from the American Revolution. I would say our biggest fall came during the Civil War though:

“I saw in States’ rights the only availing check upon the absolutism of the sovereign will, and secession filled me with hope, not as the destruction but as the redemption of Democracy…Therefore I deemed that you were fighting the battles of our liberty, our progress, and our civilization..."

Men must be governed by God or they will be ruled by tyrants.

By ignoring the checks and balances built into the constitution because Congress is afraid o making a law someone does not like they have allowed bureaucratic agencies to usurp law making power into the executive branch. When is the last time the US went to war with an actual declaration fo war?

They've been openly engaged in a war against their citizens for decades. Failed losers

Montesquieu (Spirit of Laws) elaborated on this, and I have found it to be un-erring (note this was written over 200 years ago)

That the Laws Given by the Legislator Ought to Be in Relation to the Principle of Government

1. Idea of this Book. That the laws of education should relate to the principle of each government has been shown in the preceding book. Now the same may be said of those which the legislator gives to the whole society. The relation of laws to this principle strengthens the several springs of government; and this principle derives thence, in its turn, a new degree of vigour. And thus it is in mechanics, that action is always followed by reaction.

Our design is, to examine this relation in each government, beginning with the republican state, the principle of which is virtue.
