Women did vote overwhelmingly to elect Clinton, but it was white women who helped hand Trump the presidency, according to Edison national election poll. Overall, 54% of women voted for Clinton, much higher than the 42% of women who voted for Trump. But when the women’s vote is divided by race, it becomes clear that black women actually largely drove the so-called gender gap against Trump.

The majority of non-college educated white women (64%) voted for Trump, while 35% backed Clinton.

Trump’s sexist rhetoric has been well-documented throughout the election; he dismissed a female moderator by suggested she must have had “blood coming out of her wherever,” called for women who have abortions to be punished (then backtracked), bragged about grabbing women “by the pussy”, and was dogged by allegations of sexual assault throughout the campaign. Yet, despite all of this, 45% of college-educated white women voted for Trump.

Black women and black men were, of course, not going to vote for Trump. Eliminating the race element, women voted for Trump in mass because he was a rude alpha male asshole. That's appealing to women, especially for a man of power. One could make the case that Trump is president because of this biological wiring in women.

If lying were a turn off, no one would have voted for Trump or tolerated his first two months in office. If being unqualified for the job were the issue, Trump would not have gotten any votes. So no, your assertions do not explain why white women overwhelmingly voted for Trump.

That was pretty funny and on target for friendzone behavior. The guy in the skit knows he's a chump getting used like a tampon that was used to wipe an ass in an emergency, but he's letting it happen anyway. At some level friendzone guys know what's going on. They just can't act rationally. They are getting fooled by their hope to eventually score. If there is a lesson to be learned here through analogy with a trump voter, it is the behavior of the men who voted for Trump as much as the women.

Deep down, he probably knows it's bullshit. That is why the 'take him seriously but not literally' bullshit was born. Somehow, they need to live with the cognitive dissonance.

You guys might appreciate this one: This one involves a self-centered woman who not only wanted the guy to adopt and take care of a dog so that she could cuddle with it. She also picked the dog and agreed to care for it until he closed on his house. Then she bitched and moaned about and claimed that taking care of the dog was a full time job. I'd say that is a fairly good interpretation of the article. Author Nina Biagini is a "writer" that, I guess, gets paid to paid to write articles about herself. Reading the article, you can tell she is s piece of work. And look at the comment section. Her readers, almost all female, of course, are completely on her side and fail to notice her obvious self-centeredness.

1. Bill Clinton didn't lie. He answered the question that he was asked and didn't volunteer information to help the Republicans fabricate a sex scandal.
2. Obama didn't lie. He was mistaken. Now you could argue that Obama should be heavily criticized for being wrong about his statement, but it's not reasonable to think he intentionally said something he didn't think was true in this case. However, I'm sure both Bill Clinton and Obama have lied a lot on other occasions.
3. Not all lies are equal. Even if we pretend the two statements of the democratic presidents were lies, they still aren't the same as what the republicans did. Let's examine the consequences of the lies.

Nixon: I'm not a crook.

Nixon ordered a felonious burglary for personal political gain. This was a huge abuse of presidential power and tolerating it would allow future presidents to effectively undermine elections setting up our nation as a republic in name only.

Reagan: Trickle down.

Reagan destroyed the middle class with this lie impoverishing tens of millions of Americans and lowering the quality of life of about 300 million Americans today.

The ACA did mean that people with shitty insurance plans that were effectively worthless could not keep them. This is actually a good thing. Paying for the illusion of coverage is bad.

This doesn't mean the ACA is a shitty policy, but this particular aspect of it isn't the shitty part.

To summarize, lies that impoverish hundreds of millions of people or result in mass death are a bit more significant then finding out whether or not some fat chick gave the president a blow job. Why the fuck should a sitting president, or for that matter anyone, have to reveal consensual sexual acts to the entire world? That's the real scandal behind BJ-ghazie.
