Paul Ryan Raised $657,000 While Avoiding His Constituents During Recess

House Speaker Paul Ryan snubbed his Wisconsin constituents during the President’s Day congressional recess, refusing to hold even a single town hall. Local activists appeared at his office in Racine to demand a meeting. Others placed a tongue-in-cheek missing person advertisement on Craigslist, asking for the whereabouts of their elected representative. Ryan “fled sometime in and around January 20, 2017, and hasn’t been seen since,” the ad stated.

Newly filed campaign filings show what Ryan was doing instead: jetting around the country, raking in a whopping $657,400 in contributions in just nine days.

Congressman tells constituents nobody has got to use the internet.

A Wisconsin congressman told a town hall attendee who was concerned about the elimination of online privacy protections that using the Internet is a choice - a statement that has since drawn criticism on social media.

"Nobody's got to use the internet. … And the thing is that if you start regulating the Internet like a utility, if we did that right at the beginning, we would have no Internet. … Internet companies have invested an awful lot of money in having almost universal service now. The fact is is that, you know, I don't think it's my job to tell you that you cannot get advertising for your information being sold. My job, I think, is to tell you that you have the opportunity to do it, and then you take it upon yourself to make that choice. … That's what the law has been, and I think we ought to have more choices rather than fewer choices with the government controlling our everyday lives."

“You Can’t Tell me What to Do!” – GOP Congressman Says “Taxpayers Don’t Pay My Salary”

Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) told a gathering of angry constituents that they they’re wrong when they say that they pay his salary.
It happened at a town hall event Wednesday evening in Oklahoma. A constituent noted that taxpayers pay his salary as she asked the Republican congressman a question.

Mullin immediately got huffy: You say you pay for me to do this. Bullcrap! I pay for myself. I paid enough taxes before I got there and continue to through my company to pay my own salary. This is a service. No one here pays me to go.

“No stupid wall” and “shame on you”

Sen. Jeff Flake faced a crowd of angry constituents Thursday night in Mesa, Arizona, who grilled the senator on everything from the Republicans’ health care plan to the border wall.

The crowd chanted “no stupid wall” and “shame on you,” and held up red pieces of paper when they disagreed with what the senator was saying, the Arizona Republic reported.

S.C. congressman's "You Lie" line used against him at town hall

The South Carolina representative who shouted “You Lie” at President Barack Obama during a joint session of Congress was on the receiving end of the same words in his district this week.

U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson heard plenty of boos and chants of “You Lie” during a town hall Monday in Graniteville.

Wilson drew yells from the crowd of about 200 people when he spoke about health care and violence against women. He said he supports local prosecutors in domestic violence cases, but he voted against extending the Violence Against Women Act in 2013.

No, the DNC dirty tricksters, the Creamer types, are promoting these "Constituents" - mostly Hard Blue Loyalists - have them going to Republican Town Meetings,They're happening all over the country, and are planned and organized from the Top Down.

Leaked audio from an anti-Trump protest group meeting reveals activists with anti-Trump group Indivisible plotting how to best manufacture a hostile environment at a town hall with Republican Sen. Bill Cassidy in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana on Friday.

The audio, obtained by local radio station KPEL, reveals a coordinated effort to create the public impression that Cassidy’s support for Trump is unpopular with his constituents. The activists, who describe themselves as liberals in the audio, can be heard strategizing how to best turn a local town hall into a political victory. (RELATED: Democrats Behind Mexico City Demonstration Against Tillerson)

The activists split up into an “inside team” — tasked with occupying “as many seats as we can” and an “outside team,” whose job was to “give [the media] the coverage they want” before joining the others inside. Activists were instructed to dress like conservatives and leave at home “any signifier that you’re a liberal” in order to blend in with constituents.

The leftist activists strategized how best to “dominate” the question-and-answer section of the town hall and keep anyone “sympathetic” to Cassidy from asking a question.

The audio also reveals the activists laughing about “the poor people of Breaux Bridge” — local constituents — who might get stuck behind them. Local news coverage of the town hall said that “many attendees were turned away” from the town hall due to “capacity restrictions.”

It's funny how willing and eager the MSM was to paint the captured Tea Party (correctly) as a Front Group is now unwilling to mention these town hall upsets are not "just Americans sick of Evil Republicans" but nationally coordinated activities.

Apparently the only people doing real journalism is local news now.
