American tourist who went on crazed rampage after claiming that Jesus appeared in a vision to tell him 'to go north and destroy the credit cards'
How exactly is this any more crazy than anything else in that stupid religion?
He told her he'd had a vision from Jesus telling him 'to go north and destroy the credit cards,'
Police say he was 'detached from reality' and he was tasered and arrested
Of course he was detached from reality. He believes in a god. That, by definition, is detachment from reality. It's just that his delusion is incompatible with the delusions of the majority. So they tased him, but not the majority delusional.

Hell fire and damnation await you, sinner!

FYI, Paul of Tarsus had also fallen on a road not too far from Damascus, with a vision of Jesus appearing before him.
In fact, that's probably the only reason why we know of Christianity today; Paul proselytized the story, outside of the southern Anatolian region, and into the center of the Empire.
But realize, the so-called 13th disciple never met Jesus in the flesh.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
destroy the credit cards
I agree, charge cards only. Credit cards are legalized loan sharking but w/o the mafia busting knee caps.
Let's blame everyone else since failures can't pay cash & borrow & can't repay the debt.
All my problems are "your" fault.
Credit cards are legalized loan sharking
Credit cards should be call debit cards because they create debt. Debit cards should be called credit cards because they draw from your credits, as in money not as in debt, from your bank account. Dollars should be called credits.
