"Elizabeth Warren is not a citizen of the Cherokee Nation.

Elizabeth Warren is not enrolled in the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.

And Elizabeth Warren is not one of the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee.

Nor could she become one, even if she wanted to.

Despite a nearly three week flap over her claim of “being Native American,” the progressive consumer advocate has been unable to point to evidence of Native heritage except for a unsubstantiated thirdhand report that she might be 1/32 Cherokee. Even if it could be proven, it wouldn’t qualify her to be a member of a tribe: Contrary to assertions in outlets from The New York Times to Mother Jones that having 1/32 Cherokee ancestry is “sufficient for tribal citizenship,” “Indian enough” for “the Cherokee Nation,” and “not a deal-breaker,” Warren would not be eligible to become a member of any of the three federally recognized Cherokee tribes based on the evidence so far surfaced by independent genealogists about her ancestry."

And shouldn't Harvard Law be held responsible for fraud?

You can tell Elizabeth Warren is damn ethical by how much her opposition obsesses over this fake scandal. Forty years ago, Warren checks off an unimportant box on a phone book application, not even a job application but a phone directory application. There is no reason to believe that she benefited from doing so. There is no reason to believe she lied, even if she was mistaken, also for which there is no reason to believe. In fact, the quotes in the original post come from a article by The Atlantic which clearly states

he head of the committee that brought Warren to Harvard Law School said talk of Native American ties was not a factor in recruiting her to the prestigious institution. Reported the Boston Herald in April in its first story on Warren's ancestry claim: "Harvard Law professor Charles Fried, a former U.S. Solicitor General who served under Ronald Reagan, sat on the appointing committee that recommended Warren for hire in 1995. He said he didn't recall her Native American heritage ever coming up during the hiring process.

"'It simply played no role in the appointments process. It was not mentioned and I didn't mention it to the faculty,' he said."

He repeated himself this week, telling the Herald: "In spite of conclusive evidence to the contrary, the story continues to circulate that Elizabeth Warren enjoyed some kind of affirmative action leg-up in her hiring as a full professor by the Harvard Law School. The innuendo is false."

"I can state categorically that the subject of her Native American ancestry never once was mentioned," he added.

That view was echoed by Law School Professor Laurence H. Tribe, who voted to tenure Warren and was also involved in recruiting her.

"Elizabeth Warren's heritage had absolutely no role in the decision to recruit her to Harvard Law School," he told the Crimson. "Our decision was entirely based on her extraordinary expertise and legendary teaching ability. This whole dispute is fabricated out of whole cloth and has no connection to reality."

So there you have it. Warren did not attempt to use minority status to gain any job or privilege as you and other liars have falsely suggested. It is also hypocritical of you to attack Warren when you have gone on the record saying that you agree affirmative action should not exist.

Even if Warren had lied once in her life 40 years ago -- and she didn't -- that would make her the most honest person who has ever lived.

But she didn't lie. Even if her claim were false, and it's unlikely that it is, this fake scandal has brought out evidence that Warren's claim to be descendant from Native Americans is quite reasonable. From CNN

The New England Historic Genealogical Society provided CNN with initial research showing several members of Warren's maternal family claiming Cherokee heritage. The Native American link extends to Warren's great-great-great grandmother O.C. Sarah Smith, who is said to be described as Cherokee in an 1894 marriage license application. NEHGS gathered that information through a 2006 family newsletter, and says the original application cannot be located.

The society was quick to point out that research into Native American ancestries often relies on oral histories, and that paper documents were not kept for many early generations of Native American families.

So there you have it. Over 10 years before anyone heard of Elizabeth Warren, a family newsletter was written that confirms Warren's claim that she was brought up thinking that one of her ancestors from the 19th century was Native American. Given that family oral history, Warren's claim is quite reasonable and is clearly not a lie, even if it is wrong, which we have no reason to believe is the case. Given that the number of ancestors you have literally increases exponentially as you go back in time, it should not be surprising if the blurtman is descendant from Genghis Khan. All it would take is a single great, great, great grandparent who was a Khan descendant.

Here are the facts about this fake scandal.
1. Warren did not lie. We can be absolutely certain of this from the family newsletter.
2. Warren is probably correct. Families are unlikely to get such a detail wrong about a marriage only 120 years ago. Although the oral history could be inaccurate, it's a short enough time span to conclude it's probably right.
3. Even if Warren were wrong, it's not her fault that the oral history is incorrect.
4. Warren never benefited from the claim nor did she ever attempt to capitalize on the claim.
5. It would be impossible to verify or disprove the claim as the marriage records of that time no longer exist.
6. The only reason deceivers bring up this fake scandal is because they cannot find any dirt on Warren and they cannot make any argument against the reforms Warren proposes. They hate Warren's reforms because they can't steal from the middle class if these reforms pass, but arguing that would just make them look like assholes.

This is a fake scandal told by thieves trying to prevent the senator from passing laws making their thieving illegal.

Survey: Diversity Lacking At HLS
By THERESA J. CHUNG, October 22, 1996

A majority of Harvard Law School students are unhappy with the level of representation of women and minorities on the Law School faculty, according to a recent survey.

Of 71 current Law School professors and assistant professors, 11 are women, five are black, one is Native American and one is Hispanic, said Mike Chmura, spokesperson for the Law School.

Although the conventional wisdom among students and faculty is that the Law School faculty includes no minority women, Chmura said Professor of Law Elizabeth Warren is Native American.

http://www.thecrimson.com/article/1996/10/22/survey-diversity-lacking-at-hls-pa/

Warren says she called herself a minority to connect

The back and forth followed last week’s revelations that Warren — an Oklahoma-born professor of bankruptcy law — had been held up as an example of campus diversity by a Harvard Law School spokesman in the 1990s.

Last week, Warren said she had no idea that Harvard was touting her as a minority in the 1990s. But two days later, she acknowledged that for years before she joined the faculty at Harvard, she had been classifying herself as a minority professor in a directory of the Association of American Law Schools.

That directory included Warren on a list of minority professors from 1986 through 1995.

And what is the purpose of the Association of American Law Schools directory?

"The AALS offers three main services for those interested in finding a job as a law teacher. The Association serves as a conduit, sending law schools information on registrants via the Faculty Appointments Register and sending registrants advertisements for positions at schools via the Placement Bulletin. In addition, the Association sponsors a Faculty Recruitment Conference where schools can interview registrants. These faculty recruitment services are for those persons interested in becoming law school faculty, for current faculty who want more recruitment services than are available under the Visiting Faculty Register and for schools interested in recruiting new faculty."

http://www.aals.org/services/

"The directory also provides separate listings of these faculty members by subject matter taught, by those who identify as members of minority groups, and by those who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender."

You are grasping at straws and you have not addressed any of the six points I made. You have no case.

4   Blurtman   2017 Apr 30, 9:49am

Warren's explanation that she used the listing in the Association of American Law Schools directory to hook up with other Indians is a lie. It is clear that Harvard touted her as a minority to assuage the concerns of SJW students and faculty, as well as the Feds. It is clear that the directory serves as a recruiting tool, and even provides separate listings for minorities in the directory. Warren is a despicable liar. She suffered no anti-Indian discrimination, but used an ostensible family legend to take advantage of programs ostensibly put in place to help those who had. She is worse than real Indians who possibly did suffer racial discrimination who took advantage of these programs.

5   Blurtman   2017 Apr 30, 10:07am

Here is what Warren should have said about describing herself as an Indian in the directory recruiting tool:

"I believe that even if you have a drop of colored blood in you, or if family legend indicates that you may, even if you appear to be totally white and have never suffered any racial discrimination because you appear to be totally white, even if you are totally white but there is a rumor you might have a colored ancestor, you should take advantage of programs set up to help people who did suffer racial discrimination. And that's why I want to be your President! Yea!"

And she is right about the banksters.

Check out this dumb bitch creating Trump's 2020 reelection campaign ad.

At 2:29 she does a Liberal legacy montage, Roosevelt, Kennedy, Obama. Bwahahaha, skips right over Clinton.
While she's channeling Hillary Clinton, She's as dumb as Pelosi and Waters probably on the same Congressional special Cadillac Insurance plan prescription drugs.

7   Blurtman   2017 Apr 30, 10:31am

I don't know much about her, but my take on the Indian thing is she got caught, and it is hard to believe that she did not know she would benefit by claiming to be a colored person. And so it is troubling that as she looks herself in the mirror every day, she thought she should be able to benefit by claiming to be a colored person. So she either is a pathological liar, where she does not or cannot allow herself to see reality, she is in denial, suppressing what she did, but realizing it, or, she is lying with a poker face. There is no good possibility. Usually politicians dig a deeper hole when caught.

That "dumb bitch" is far smarter than you. You just posted a video in which she makes a compelling case against Trump. And everything she said in the video is verifiable true. This video demonstrates why Warren would make a great president.

Blurtman, what's so funny about this mixed heritage thing is that 1/2 Asian (see Chinese, Korean, Japanese, etc) and 1/2 White (Britain to Russia) Americans are being advised to only check the white box, as Asian-Americans are actively discriminated against, in Ivy League admissions.

No, but I do like pointing out the pettiness of certain people as it demonstrates why their opinions don't matter. Case in point, this thread.

You have serious issues with genitalia.

If the upper tier colleges admitted people totally based on merit, they would be almost exclusively South and East Asian, Dakota/Minnesota Scandinavians, and Jews.

There wouldn't be any spaces left for dumb alumni broodlings, and that would hurt the long term fiscal health of the college.

Also, one way to nix costs and get higher ed back on track is to dump the Athletic, Cultural, well-rounded Bullshit. Colleges are for Academic Study, they're not Cultural Expos or Sporting Societies.

Seriously, how does anyone take the Democrats seriously at all. The one and ONLY reason they care about racial identity is for political gain. Heres what they really think:

Yep. The desire of so many parents in this county to see their kids to play college sports leaves me dumbfounded. If one of my children is offered a sports scholarship (there's a good chance for it), we will turn it down.
