1. Show up to work.

2. Perform work as directed by your supervisor. If your supervisor sucks, bite your tongue until you obtain a different job. Even then bite your tongue.

3. Get along with others. If they have different ideas, that's ok and not everything needs to end up with you being right.

4. Don't be an asshole.

That's really not fair. Those four things are going to disqualify probably half the people looking for work.

And they're really about keeping a job, not getting one.

But yes, they all would help you keep a job.
