Was doing some reading.

Canada literally has no abortion laws. It's one of three countries that doesn't (the other two being North Korea and China). I thought this was supposed to be a first world country? You can literally just kill a baby no matter how far along they are and there's no law to stop you. That's messed up!

Also apparently Canadians don't agree with a lot of this? What do you guys think?

Wow, that is kinda messed up:

Since 1988, when the Supreme Court of Canada ruled that existing abortion restrictions were unconstitutional, abortion has been legal for any reason at any stage of pregnancy.

Killing a baby just before birth is murder for sure, and yet legal there.

Yeah it's way more messed up than I ever thought.

Best argument for abortion, look in a mirror.

Late term abortions are for medical problems that are incompatible with life. Read the first comment. http://news.nationalpost.com/full-comment/letters/todays-letters-late-trimester-abortions-are-not-happening-in-canada-without-a-reason

It's legal here in 47 states. In 3 states it's only legal if the mother will die. Pretty gruesome 3 states are forcing mothers carry around then deliver dead babies or babies that will die the minute they are out of the womb. @patrick you are saying you believe you wife should carry around a dead or genetically defective baby until it delivers?

Yet Canada has roughly the same number of abortions per capita as the US. Go figure. The US has slightly less by my estimation.

Not true. They are allowed in Canada for any reason at all. Say, the mother is having a bad day.

legal for any reason at any stage of pregnancy

Canada doesn't care what brainwashed religious right wing nuts think,
after Republicans killed servicemen based on a lie.
Aborting all American pregnancies would prevent the children from becoming Republicans & Democrats.

I also don't know what this one means. I would love to respond, but I am having trouble what you are trying to say, other than implying anyone who opposes abortion a "brainwashed religious right wing nut". To that, all I would say is that there are many good arguments against abortion that have nothing to do with religion.

Look up Christopher Hitchens' responses to abortion if you don't believe me.

They actually don't. If you read the article you would see that Canada has a lot more abortions per capita than the States.

So while that may be true, there are still no laws restricting abortion in Canada. I would be curious to see under the right circumstances if the Medical Code of Ethics (or whatever its called) could be challenged as unconstitutional since its a peri-governmental body (healthcare funded and regulated by government in Canada) that is choosing to restrict abortions in direct contravention of the letter of the law. I have no idea, but it would be interesting to see.
