Reactionary, stupidly resisting change, any change, and well... short sighted.
Typical old republican.
I'm guessing you are still running Windows XP and you are convinced anything more recent is a piece of crap.

Electric cars will be the majority of cars by 2030.

My hope is I won't be alive then - my bet is that electric cars WON'T be in the majority.

Ha ha ha. Captain, you are hilarious.
The Tesla is already the highest selling luxury car in the US. 400,000 orders for the Model 3, a year before production even started. A company that is now worth more than GM.
Every car company gearing up to sell only electric cars down the road.
Captain, some years from now you will buy an electric car and smell the clean air. You will remember me, and say....."Gosh, that bastard Strategist was right." At that point, my ass will be available for your kissing pleasure.

Electric cars are the future. Automated driving cars are arriving now, and will take over soon. But plenty of people will remain rooted firmly in the past. You'll see them on surface streets motoring slowly in manual-approved lanes, grumpy looks on their wizened faces. The freeways will be reserved for automated-only cars. The reason for this is that all cars will "talk" to each other giving up to the microsecond data on speeds and headings, and upcoming traffic conditions. This will make freeway traffic flow much better. Imagine this: rather than a long line of stopped cars taking off one at a time in a relay, all will move at once, maintaining safe (but small )spaces between themselves.
Meanwhile their passengers read, watch videos, drink coffee, or even drink liquor! Drunk driving will be something only old people seem to get up to these days.
I give it fifteen years until this exact scenario happens.

Anybody ever see an electric car in Mad Max, i didn't think so.

Yah that article was as full of proud ignorance as any I've seen from the Left. Check your heroes, Bass. That one has feet of clay.

TPB's latest stupid post is clear indication that he, like many others, advocate environmental destruction just because they are trolling hippies. Yes, upsetting a hippie is important enough to TPB that he will gladly accept your kid getting mercury poisoning in order to accomplish that. It's both petty and evil.

It's going to take a lot longer than 2030 for that to happen.

I think once you drive them you will fall in love. I am on my third EV and I am not going back

No one ever goes back once they go electric. It's such a pleasure driving them. I don't even want hybrids anymore. I consider our Prius as the gas guzzler in our family.

I work with electric motors every day. Nothing beats the insane torque they develop.
Even though my hybrid Camry has a 4 cylinder engine, the electric assist makes it the fastest car I've ever owned. 5.5 seconds to 60

14   lostand confused   2017 Jul 13, 5:18pm

I am not sure in cold weather though. My hybrid is usually around 35-39mph in regular weather depending on driving conditions. I have never gotten it above 30mph in winter.

I wonder how an all electric would do here-though I have seen some Teslas here.

I do use a lithium battery for a snowblower. Great for under 4 inches- well best when 2 inches or 3 at most. heavy duty stuff-shovel is better :) The big gas blower will power through.
