Let's think about the fundamentals here.

The basic driving force for these attacks is an unspeakable embarrassment at the complete failure of the Islamic world. Islamic countries have utterly lost to both the West and the East in terms of science, commerce, military, and every other field of human endeavor. This is due entirely to the nature of Islam and its hatred of honest rational inquiry, placing faith in the Koran above all else, and using the Koran's instructions for violence to suppress any attempt at Islamic reforms which could advance humanity in the Islamic world.

So Muslims are attracted to the idea of destroying the existing world and replacing it with one in which they are not so obviously losers. To admit that the problem is Islam itself would be too painful, after the centuries they have in invested in it. If they even admit to themselves that the problem is Islam, that still leaves them unable to leave Islam behind and join the more successful part of humanity, because their relatives and even their governments will kill them.

So is there any way out of this trap for them?
