"The RAISE Act, which Cotton and Perdue introduced in February, would scrap the current lottery system to get into the U.S. and instead institute a points-based system for earning a green card. Factors that would be taken into account include English language skills, education, high-paying job offers and age. New immigrants would also be prevented from collecting welfare"

This should have happened decades ago, it’s about time somebody tried to fix this issue. But I am sure there are people that will hate it because its from Trump or want to see this country keep going in the same direction. Lindsey Graham is at the bottom talking about how it will affect agricultural workers when this has nothing to do with H2A visas, he is a traitor.

Did you somehow miss this part?

The RAISE Act, which Cotton and Perdue introduced in February

It's not from trump, trump supports it. Trump hasn't even begun to cobble together anything that could seriously be called an immigration policy.

The current immigration system is stupid beyond belief. Every other first world country has a merit based immigration system. Great for Cotton and Perdue, not that it's going to matter. Big business, with their insatiable desire for cheap labor, will kill it of course. Graham is just the tip of the iceberg.

New immigrants are already prohibited form collecting welfare or food stamps.

Please don't confuse the trumptards with facts. If trump says it's true then it's true no matter how many of those old musty laws are on the books.

So if an illegal goes to college/school/emergency room on taxpayer dime-what do you call it?

I would call it nothing that trump has any power over

How is college/school/er part of welfare and food stamps? Trump said welfare and food stamps. Pretty poor reading comprehension in your part.

Illegal aliens pay in state tuition at some state universities.

In other words, how most Western countries have handled immigration for most of the post-Depression Era, during the greatest economic and living standard expansion in history. Vastly superior to today's underwhelming policy, in contrast, of "low wages at any social/economic price."

Not true.

The state of Washington exempts Refugees from meeting the same requirements as native-born poor people, and indeed gives them an additional cash allowance:
https://www.dshs.wa.gov/esa/community-services-offices/refugee-cash-assistance

In fact there are many programs that exempt Refugees from requirements that native-born welfare recipients must meet, like training or job enrollment.
https://www.acf.hhs.gov/orr/resource/snap-work-requirements-and-participation-in-office-of-refugee-resettlement-training-programs

Here's the federal government discriminating by national origin, and a program than SJWs love and would never fight on identity grounds. It gives Aghan and Iraqi Immigrants the same benefits-without-requirements that Refugees get:
https://www.acf.hhs.gov/orr/resource/state-letter-08-04

This was found in less than 5 minutes of google searching and I'm sure is the tip of the iceberg.

I betcha if some Sudanese enrolls in the Al-Bomma Mosque Koranic Program to create Salafi Imams, it counts as training to be Career02351C: Pastoral Caregiver Training and if they go a few hours a week satisfies the already reduced hour "Job Training" requirements Refugees must meet after a time - and thus they fully qualify for all benefits.

Because there's no poverty in the US! Only a pay gap between evil White/Asian IT Guys and Lesbian Black Hispanic Social Workers that is EVIL! and SEXIST!

Lesbian Black African Muslims have a right to immigrate to the US where they can be oppressed by immediately qualifying for Public Assistance! Learn my pronouns!
