"The RAISE Act, which Cotton and Perdue introduced in February, would scrap the current lottery system to get into the U.S. and instead institute a points-based system for earning a green card. Factors that would be taken into account include English language skills, education, high-paying job offers and age. New immigrants would also be prevented from collecting welfare"
This should have happened decades ago, it’s about time somebody tried to fix this issue. But I am sure there are people that will hate it because its from Trump or want to see this country keep going in the same direction. Lindsey Graham is at the bottom talking about how it will affect agricultural workers when this has nothing to do with H2A visas, he is a traitor.

Did you somehow miss this part?

It's not from trump, trump supports it. Trump hasn't even begun to cobble together anything that could seriously be called an immigration policy.
The current immigration system is stupid beyond belief. Every other first world country has a merit based immigration system. Great for Cotton and Perdue, not that it's going to matter. Big business, with their insatiable desire for cheap labor, will kill it of course. Graham is just the tip of the iceberg.
