Too bad they spent millions removing Confederate monuments instead of fixing their water pumps.
They spent more on Lawyers than sump pumps. Thanks a lot Democrats.

Notice it's the black neighborhoods re-gentrification missed the last time around of COURSE!

Those houses will all be condemned by next month and mega million dollar project will replace them. Complete with huge Sump pumps to keep the land high and dry. The people living here now, will be shipped off to live with Larry David, while they razz their houses. Oops! See Sorry Darnell, we turned your house into a Bubba Gump Seafood restaurant.

New Orleans is always flooding. I lived there years ago. One heavy rain dumped 11 inches in an hour. I had the pleasure of watching my car float down the street and water crawl up my front step. Fortunately, it stopped in time. The house was on stilts.

If it rains faster than the pumps can handle, it floods.

Yeah they don't have pumps to protect poor neighborhoods from the forces of nature, but they have money for petty litigation and ISIS monument removal.
When they Evict these Black and Poor residents now from these hardest hit neighborhoods hardest hit the most with Monument removal. How do you think they'll vote in 2018 when you ship them off to Texas and California to live?

The pumps are under-horse powered.
Libbie psycho engineers deliberately planned this to garner more future tax dollars for repairs.
Note that this problem did not exist in the 1800's as there were plenty of horses around to spare...

There are a lot of low lying expensive neighborhoods in New Orleans that flood, too. Most homes are built on elevated pads or stilts for routine flooding. That flood in the picture is nothing, it'll be dry in a few hours.

California's central valley also floods readily. When I worked in Modesto, streets flooded all the time in the winter. It was once a lake bed. It usually doesn't rain fast enough to do it, but sometimes it does.

Since they are too stupid to maintain their sump pumps, they should just bring in a shitload of dirt to raise the area.

Liberals always get what they deserve at the end for their stupidity, all while dragging society down with them.

8   Strategist   2017 Aug 6, 4:20pm

They should not bother to rebuild New Orleans. It's not worth it.

Just make it part of the swamp tour.

Hey, that's a great idea. The lower levels of NO can be a swamp attraction for tourists. If that does not work lets turn it into a giant prison and hope another Katrina floods it.

91 billion is like what, four times the annual budget of Louisiana? So that's never going to happen. Ever. Can get blood from a stone!

Put the Houses on stilts and when it floods who cares?

Edit: three times the budget.
"Between fiscal years 2015 and 2016, total government spending in Louisiana increased by approximately $1.8 billion—from $27.8 billion in fiscal year 2015 to an estimated $29.6 billion in 2016."

Living in a flood plain is shear genius.

If they'd only man up and go with the masculine spelling version (Libbys) they wouldn't attract so much shit...

Leave it to the FUCKING! LIBBIES! to flood a city with their global warming hoax!

New Orleans is a flood zone, and anyone living in that area should build houses appropriate for such geography.

I've seen houses in Baltimore county (on the Chesapeake Bay) that are on stilts like this:

Why don't you show me where New Orleans elected a Republican Mayor?

Who gives you the Facts before the MSM?
That's right Numero Moi that's who.

This could have all been avoided had that Monument removal money been used Wisely

The million dollar question ..... are the low lying areas of NO worth rebuilding, when you know it's just a matter of time before the next Katrina shows up?

Actually it's how much does it cost to do this:
