Unfortunately, his father's neurotic psychiatrist talks his patient into having more fun for himself instead of spending money on his son. Faced with the horrifying prospect of having to pay for law school by himself, Mark decides to take up a scholarship, but the only suitable one is for

Happens all the time. It's just yet more of the leftist institutionalized anti-white racism which pervades academia and tech.

I met an Indian woman from the south who was showered with engineering scholarships because they simply could not find any other dark skinned women from the south who were interested in and moderately good at engineering. She was amused by it all. She didn't even need the money, but the groups that gave it to her had to justify their existence and prove they were doing something about the imaginary "racism and sexism" in engineering. Without that imaginary enemy, those groups would have no reason for existence, and the jobs for their executives would disappear.

I'll have to watch that movie.

The film was widely criticized for featuring a Caucasian actor wearing blackface. When the film was released, some protests took place within the black community.

You know that if affirmative action is reversed, it it not that whites would benefit ( though the Pocahontas effect will decrease) but rather all those seats will go to Asians, who are the only ones being discriminated against . So in essence we do not have an anti-white but anti-Asian racism.

Nothing wrong with this. Anything a person can do to prevent being discriminated against is fair game.

I'm just surprised this isn't another post about white woman pretends to be Indian for Affirmative Action. The right can't let go of that fake scandal.

Like my college buddy with a wealthy dad who was half Yugoslavian, half Portuguese with a hispanic sounding surname. He had C plus university grades, went to his interview with dark makeup declaring himself Mexican American, and got into a nice professional program.

He carried the charade through his program, and even was president of the minority students association for a year. He was proud of himself that shrewdness and chicanery trumped merit.

He practiced his "Mexican" accent on me, declaring his name with Hispanic pride.

In the day, the admissions committees almost didn't care whether they were "genuine" or "fake" minorities, as long as they met the political correctness mandate. A reasonable fake who, chances are, won't wind up killing or harming anybody, rather than a "real" who needs a squadron of proctors to keep him "safe". Yet still, there is a point where he/her is unleashed on society on his/her own recognizance?

I have seen some of the unleashed, and it's pretty pathetic.

I'll agree 100%. Discrimination based on race is WRONG, and should be opposed and actively thwarted by all right-thinking people.

Here's the difference ... the Indian-American guy does have Dravidian (see historically Black South Asian as oppose to Indo-Aryan [ meaning Persian/Central Asian ]) ancestry and thus, most certainly can claim some black heritage.

The guy whose ancestors had primarily come from Britain, Germany, or Lithuania can't say that.

Hence, most non-Bollywood Indians, since Bollywood is basically fair skinned Persian-like, can claim Dravidian ancestry w/o looking like a fraud.

He is black. His race is human but he is definitely coloured black.

Where I live and work if I were to claim my race as human I would be in big trouble.
