Some hate blacks, some hate whites, some hate Christians, some hate Moslems, some hate those who hate. They are all haters.

Don't be a hater. At least Trump said it right: "We have to respect each other," he said. "Ideally we have to love each other."

A good president doesn't bullshit around. And what he said above is no bullshit.

Yes, some minimum level of respect has been sorely lacking lately.

Hatred is never conquered by hatred in this world. By non-hatred alone is hatred conquered. This is an eternal law. - Buddha

Do not speak harshly to anyone; those who are thus spoken to will retort. Malicious talk is indeed the cause of trouble and retribution will come to you. - Buddha

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. - Jesus

For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? - Jesus

Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her. - Jesus

Kasich showed Trump love when he told Trump that his reaction was pathetic. If you love someone, you cannot let them go off the rails into a moral wasteland.
Trump's base continues to pull him towards rock bottom. Maybe they feel that is a form of love too, or they don't recognize what rock bottom is.

If someone you know is proud of the part of their heritage and culture that enshrines Robert E Lee and his role in the civil war, you should love them by explaining why that is not something to be proud of. If they don't love themselves enough to acknowledge the bad part of their heritage for what it is, then you should help them find a way to do so.

You still don't get it, probably because you are indoctrinated to the facade of american politics, and believe a candidates purpose for election is to have his policies carried out.
Trump was not sent to washington as a typical american candidate.
He was trucked in as a wrecking ball to shake up the status quo of corporate governance over the USA, which has grown so large as to become a metastasized cancer.
He is performing as designed.
He has turned CNN into the National Enquirer.
He has both sides of the political aisle running around with their heads cut off.
He has hired and fired the best and worst of them, in rapid succession.
He has both sides shitting their pants trying to dethrone him.
He is performing as designed.

The bet with trump is that both sides will start collaborating in earnest to get rid of him.
And during that process they will remember what can be accomplished with sincere negotiations and bipartisan support for issues requiring legislative action, lobbyist donations be damned.

So this is love the liberal style. Probably according to the lefties the guy who shot at congress men was showing love. The left has gone so deep of the rails and so totally devoid of logic, that someone pointing out their flaws tot hem is now the greatest threat. Trump has shown tremendous courage in the face of the fury of the left.

Someone needed to bell the cat and Trump it is. Watch many will slowly arise and call out the left for their utter stupidity and idiocacy.

The left is the biggest threat to western democracy.

You keep repeating this same lie, but it's not making it any less silly.

The truth is, the right has total control of all branches of government, and have for decades. The left is powerless, but you make your Oligarch masters proud, repeating their message that they've planted in your head, as if it were your own organic thoughts.

Sober up and try thinking for once

So all the feminazi anti male laws, threat to free speech, violent riots and brutal attacks on anybody who is right leaning is done by righties-please.
Again it is you who has soem fixed idea by the corporate dems-who all donated to Hilalry the most-who is desperately trying to make sense of the monstrous left and trying to fit it into the image of the hippie playing a harp. The pure visceral hate from the left on ideas not agreeing with them and the condoning of violence on the elft-is the greatest threat to democracy. Talk and expressi ideas and in the ballot box-but when you resort to violence on anybody who doe snot agree with you-and label them ahters-you are entering terrirory of the past leftist utopias-Soviets, nazis, now Venezuela. Hopefully Americans will wake up.
Oh and dems are the corporate party now.

Sad, very sad-but lefties what to expect-it is a given logic cannot enter their pre conceived belief systems. When the man shot republicans for being republicans-where was this level of condemnation. Weeks and weeks of non stop coverage of the hate of the left and calling it terrorism. Where were the business leaders and top dems condemning leftist violence and putting up a united front against hate? Nothing-in fact many lefties on the internet celebrated and started threatening other republicans saying they were next. That shows the state of the left-no head and increasingly no heart-or a black heart.

The truth is, the right has total control of all branches of government, and have for decades.

The ruling D & Rs of the past decade(s) are neither left or right in the classical sense, but authoritarian. They will do whatever it takes to control the populace better and make them less political free thinkers. The more "right" has traditionally done so by criminalizing drugs, sex(ual orientation), asset forfeiture and in general a robust police state. As years went by and sentiment changed about many "moral" issues such as drug use and sex(ual orientation) as well as research validating the usefulness of cannabis etc. they lost a big part of authoritarian control and now at least they try to benefit from it by taxation (always the next stage after prohibition). But with losing their "moral" grip on what many view as outdated concepts rooted in religion they needed a newer, better and tighter grip on the populace. And here is where the left comes in as the useful idiot tool. Many laws were passed criminalizing "sexist", "racist" and other -ist behavior, and social shaming and loss of career was openly ok'ed. In the end there is no difference between authoritarian left and right except for these days the left is the far more authoritarian vehicle as the support from the dumbed down populace to stand up against -isms is at peak froth.

Democratic focus groups formed to find out why voters elected trump concluded "democratic policies favored the rich" as the main driver of trumps victory. These policies, of course were/are mostly driven by corporate campaign donations. Sending trump to washington was a "wreck ball" act to attempt to break up / damage the existing lobbyist structures. They concluded going with hillary was more of the status quo. Sending trump in was a gamble that a true washington outsider could make a dent in the machine.

The comparison of CNN to the National Enquirer is not one of circulation/viewers, but one of factual unbiased content.

--He has both sides of the political aisle running around with their heads cut off.

>>He has rendered the government completely useless. It is barely functioning.

""barely functioning" appears to be in the eye of the beholder. A barely functioning government does not accomplish this in only 6 months.

Agreed, if you change to "some people". While it is a gamble that he will do more harm than good, "existential threat" is just political hype gone overboard. Too many checks and balances in place for him to destroy the country.

Not necessarily. Leaders lead and people follow. Of course trump is fucking up in this area. Hopefully the generals will set him straight and teach trump a thing or two about 'moral equivilency'

I'm pretty sure you are referring to Obama Trump voters who are a small part of the overall Trump voters, and it's not the base. So, this is not a good way to characterize 'most' of Trump voters.

BlueSardine says

The comparison of CNN to the National Enquirer is not one of circulation/viewers, but one of factual unbiased content

CNN remains more factual and less biased than Trump.

BlueSardine says

""barely functioning" appears to be in the eye of the beholder. A barely functioning government does not accomplish this in only 6 months.

Even with a promise of huge corporate tax cuts, which did give the market a bump, the market is largely continuing a giant bull market that started in 2009. The trend in stocks and unemployment has not significantly changed. The only thing that has changed is the way that Trump (and presumably Fox) talks about it. During his campaign, the unemployment figures were fake. Now, they are real.
The government is in gridlock, and Trump is losing power with the Senate every week.

BlueSardine says

I used to think that the existential threat was blown overboard, but I expected him to be more competent. IMO, the warnings were correct, and he continues to surprise us with egregious behavior.

I guarantee you if any actor uses questionable methods to get rid of the President, whether Congress or the MIC using the Military, there's going to be hell to pay and anybody in favor is going to be very, very sorry.

For starters, it will create so much distrust it's unbelievable. The sense of injustice will actually be felt mostly by young White Males, and the Putschists will try to marshall support by demonizing White Males like never before.

Quite frankly, anything short of video of Putin giving orders to Trump isn't going to fly and will be seen as a Deep State Coup, correctly, against the Republic. The Administrator and Experts' coup against losing policy power. You might see the Corpratists and the Militarists then turn against each other, undermining each leader in turn. 6 "emperors" each with a few months in charge.

It's going to be like the Cultural Revolution, when even the participants are like "How the hell did we get involved with that?" years later - If we get off that easy. The side that will be the most radicalized and pissed off has most of the weapons, military training, comprised heavily of police and military, etc. The side that will be foolishly gloating has the most numbers of vegetarian manbun weaksauce and grossly obese multicolored hair lesbians who can't climb a flight of stairs without hyperventilating.
