This can't come fast enough. Anyone here with younger kids in school? I can't stand that I can't even send my kid a fucking PB & J because of one other kid in his class. This year we have another kid with a dairy allergy. WTF! Didn't even know there was a physical (not ingested) allergy for dairy. I guess this is how kids grow up to learn that one very small minority can get their way and the majority has the change their behavior. Not the other way around.

The Left was just getting used to telling your kid what not to bring to school for lunch because the Liberal's Mental Drug addled kid can't keep his hands off other people's shit and might eat your kid's Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich. Fuck consequences, we must protect the DoDo Cucks so they don't kill themselves off before they get a chance to be useful to a hundred Soros organizations.

So one's kids take a PB & J and another child get sick & maybe even dies.
So one's child get their hands on a gun & kills another child.
The first child should not have an allergy.
The second child should get out of the way of bullets.
Both children have Rep/Con parents?
Let's hope so.

Weaponized peanut butter will take care of these brats, and the problem will be solved in a single generation.

Statistically we're talking about a chance that's probably substantially less than a lightning strike for a child to die, at school, from a peanut allergy At school is the key part. Regardless of any of the new rules that schools have implemented. To make millions of kids change part of their diet to maybe prevent 5 deaths a year at a school is ridiculous (I don't have a source, just guessing). If it's such a big deal, which it sounds like it is in most places, don't have the kid with the nut allergy go in the cafeteria. Or simply have whoever is monitoring where the kids are eating make sure there's not fucking peanut butter all over the walls.

I do sympathize with those parents. But we don't make all the other kids get taught the slightly autistic child's curriculum because he could feel bad if he was singled out. It's obviously a minor inconvenience, but I don't see other public places changing policies to not allow nuts or dairy at say city hall or something. That kid could just as easily walk into city hall with their parents and touch something that is contaminated. In fact this is probably far more likely what happens.

You're also taking away one of the cheapest forms of lunch for kids that isn't totally negative health wise. I have zero proof of this, but not being able to bring certain items to lunch at school probably has a far greater health impact on the other children that will cost our society more down the road. That's harsh, but if 1,000 kids get diabetes down the road from substituting non-nut garbage food cause the parents are lazy, that's probably worse than 5 dying from it a year and few more allergic reactions in the school.

My issues is a fraction of a fraction being able to change pretty much all of the majorities lifestyle. That fraction of a fraction needs to adapt to life like most other people with diseases and disability as best they can. Ultimately if it's such problem, let's just outlaw nuts here. And don't take this as me slamming the disabled. I think most of them would agree to the philosophy of adapt or die. The world doesn't change for you.

I have zero clue about the rest of your rambling and why guns are even brought up.

Interesting article - looks like telling parents to keep kids from peanuts has backfired so badly the NIH has completely flip flopped and now recommends early and often exposure:

With time, maybe it will be back to like when we were kids and these sorts of allergies were unheard of.

That's what I don't get. I'm in my thirties. I don't remember all these allergies that kids have now. Obviously pollen, mold, etc. But not shit that can kill you by just touching a peanut (I wanted to put nut, but I didn't). Had one friend that said he was lactose intolerant. That's about the closest I knew anyone with some sort of food allergy. Would get the shits if he ate a cheese pizza or drank milk.

I gave both our kids peanut butter and didn't even think about it as early as you could with a kid. It seems there's got to be some correlation between overbearing/worried parents about an allergy, that the lack of not consuming that food potentially creates the allergy in that process. Side note: I didn't read the link, so it may mention something along those lines.
