Right - respectable people with simple campaign message of making America great.
On one side of the street, two men sold “Make America Great Again” caps for $20 and T-shirts featuring Trump’s beloved red-splattered electoral map, along with this message: “Better coverage than Verizon. Can you hear us now?”

Left - name calling, insults, calls to violence. (Dan's people)
On the other side of the street, volunteers collected donations for stickers, buttons and signs with messages such as: “Make racists afraid again,” “White silence is compliance,” “Goodnight alt-right,” “No border wall,” “Punch your local Nazi” and “Resist!”

For a liberal media, even they can't hide the self evident truth of todays politics. Left is just violent people lately.

I had a similar thought, though the idea was to start a thread to at least get some get some consensus definitions on what "Left" and "Right" mean, so that we are at least on the same page for discussion. Maybe I'll start that thread some other time unless someone beats me to it. I think it would be productive.

You should, it'll be an interesting debate.

Right: Decent, God fearing and God serving patriots who know what's best for the lazy, benighted, drug addled fore-brainless heathen masses.

Left: Psychotic, deluded tulip tripping fantasists who think death row inmates are misunderstood Jesus figures.

Everybody knows this.

“Punch your local Nazi” should be on the $5 bill.

Lots of people not nazis getting punched for being nazis. Even #AltLeft assholes are punching other #AltLeft assholes.

And Black People

... for being Nazis. Don't know whether to laugh or cry at people who can "Just tell who is a Nazi"

I liked it better in the days when everybody was demonized as Hitler rather than Muslim Extremists.

It might look like it, but it don't act like it.

Tell me about the time a Christian Female Student from Regent University committed a suicide bombing.

Also, if Christianity was like Islam, the AltLeft would defend any Christian violence and call those who talked about stopping it "Racists".

They've been voting Republicans into government for decades. Far more effective to spread max pain

Both extreme need the other to convince others that there are only two choices.

The extremes are the same. It's a circle, not a line.

Right: Has a need, as evidenced in this thread to convince themselves and others that they are good people. Typically not clear on whats going on politically in this country - overly distracted by identity politics. Three decade history of voting against their own interests. Convinced by right wing media that the poor are taking from them, as a ruse to keep taxes too low on the highest increments of income.

Left: Almost non existent at this point. We have less right wing only. The political "center" is similar to where republicans were 50 years ago (seriously). Some social causes are the exception to this. The people defined as the left by the typical right winger are the extremely poor, or criminals or fringe activists. There simply is no left in this country.

Maybe I should have said it more clearly. Yes, identity politics comes from groups on the left. But many say a big reason Trump won was "political correctness" which is in large part about identity politics. Right wingers are overly distracted by this noise which is has far less meaning than they think. That is, other than the fanatical SJWs shutting down speech at some universities. And everyone was appalled by that. We don't need Trump to shrink that. In fact Trump was probably the only think that could have possibly made it grow.

“White silence is compliance,” That's right . . . nothing to worry about, no need to look over here, a long as I make no noise I can't be up to anything. Well, nothing you will see coming anyway.
