CNN calls off their Russia-Trump Investigation team

CNN executives explicitly told their investigative team to stop looking into potential ties between the Trump administration and Russia following a series of high profile reporting errors led that to the resignation of three journalists in June.

Executives transferred all reporting duties associated with the Trump-Russia narrative to CNN’s Washington, D.C. team in the wake of a retracted June report, members of the CNN staff told The New York Times.

The report in question was removed from CNN’s website after the network admitted it could not stand by information that tied then Trump advisor Anthony Scaramucci to a Russian investment bank under Senate sanctions.

CNN’s president, Jeffrey A. Zucker led an investigation into the mishap and found that the story, written by Pulitzer finalist Thomas Frank, was published over the concerns of CNN’s legal team. The investigation revealed that key aspects of Frank’s reporting were based on one source, who expressed trepidation with how the information was presented before the story went to print, a fact Frank failed to relay to his colleagues.

The report came after a serious of embarrassments for the network, including the firing of hosts Reza Aslan and Kathy Griffin in response to inappropriate, and in Griffin’s case threatening, public messages directed at President Donald Trump. The story also came after CNN issued a correction on an article that inaccurately predicted details of former FBI Director James Comey’s congressional testimony.

If only you could get them to call off Mueller. And the Senate investigation. And the House investigation.... The Republicans just can't stop investigating Trump.

One by one the media whores are throwing in the towel. Mueller is just milking a gub'mint job for payday and publicity. He's going to let all you Leftists down when he either 1)declares no Russian connection to Trump or his campaign, and certainly no collusion, or 2)starts using sketchy tactics to harass a sitting President over real estate deals conducted decades ago in a major fishing expedition. This is less likely because statutes of limitations run out and DJT is pretty good at covering legal bases.

Glad Mueller calls everyone to update them on the investigation, every hour.
That way they can make comments backed by the latest facts.

As for me,I'm waiting on Atty .Gen Schneiderman & info from the IRS investigators.
Someone could go to jail for tax fraud?

I doubt there was collusion, but it is interesting all the lies that have and continue to come from the Trump White House.

The latest:

Why all the lies if there's nothing there?

From the article you linked:
""In late January 2016, I abandoned the Moscow proposal because I lost confidence that the prospective licensee would be able to obtain the real estate, financing and government approvals necessary to bring the proposal to fruition," he added. "It was a building proposal that did not succeed and nothing more."

So this was a proposal that was never approved and was abandoned before Trump was even close to winning the primary.

"Cohen told CNN that his three conversations with Trump about the proposed construction project were "short." The first was to inform him about negotiations happening for a possible deal, the second time was to sign a letter of intent, and the third time was to let Trump know that the deal was off."

So this little item was barely on Trump's radar, worthy of three communications and nothing more. Likely he was telling the truth as he understood it when he said he had no Russian business going on.

"Trump denied having any business interests in Russia in July 2016, tweeting, "for the record, I have ZERO investments in Russia." He then reiterated that point again at a news conference the following day, telling reporters "I have nothing to do with Russia."

And finally, the denial happened in July 2016, when even the proposal had been abandoned for six months. How is that a lie? Can you explain and use small words? I don't understand much Leftist.

lol--"I have nothing to do with Russia" Oh yeah, except for the major deal I tried to make a few months ago that was supposedly "abandoned". Of course--how could anyone construe that as a lie?

Notice the present tense in that verb. Even leftists must know about verb conjunction! Are you a particularly ignorant Leftist?

"Supposedly abandoned"
So now you're questioning the media source that YOU provided? A source so Leftist and anti-Trump that he's shared a video of himself beating it up? Talk about abandoning all semblance of truth just to win! What a good Leftist you are! That's exactly their game!

Nope--I'm questioning the truthfulness of the quoted source

Since the "quoted source" was quoting the source that you gave, how is that different from you? Questioning yourself is good! I'd encourage that in someone like you. You got some fucked up opinions that fly in the face of observable fact. So question yourself more!
