Study with a different outcome:

A recent study of all counties in the United States has again demonstrated the lack of relationship between the prevalence of firearms and homicide.
This inverse correlation is one of several that seems to contradict more guns equal more death. For decades the gun lobby has emphasized that, in general, the American jurisdictions where guns are most restricted have consistently had the highest violent crime rates, and those with the fewest restrictions have the lowest violent crime rates. For instance, robbery is highest in jurisdictions which are most restrictive of gun ownership.
This is a reputable Harvard study, and authors themselves say that they were surprised by results.

Australia proved the inverse relationship two decades ago. Facts are irrelevant to those with political agendas.

Please read the Harvard study, which has been published in a peer-reviewed journal. The investigators have no hidden agenda.

Of course. The more gun violence, the more the law responds with greater restrictions. That's like saying places with more drunken fights end up with more public intoxication laws. The law reacts to problems. It does not proactively prevent them.

Banning guns in the us won't lower murder rates. The crooks will get illegal guns regardless.

What will work is sentencing felons in possession of guns in federal court which calls for 15 year minimums rather than California's feeble 18mo/30 mo/60 mo guidelines.

Why would anyone use a gun in a violent confrontation?
A rock,stick,chair/stool,plate,cup,saucer,etc.is clean to use,swift,efficient,easy to carry & conceal.
Everyone knows that!
Some of you will DIE DUMB!
