CNN: Russians did try to effect the elections with Facebook Ads, and I guess it must be true.

Russians purchased pro-Black Lives Matter Ads targeting Ferguson, Missouri, and Baltimore.
http://money.cnn.com/2017/09/27/media/facebook-black-lives-matter-targeting/index.html

The old narrative was : "Kremlin-controlled troll farms used Facebook Ads to influence the Elections, probably targeteing those deploreable types for Pro-Trump Ads."

CNN was all over this.

Turns out they were buying some ads to generate interest in #AltLeft Anti-American Divisive Causes.

I thought BLM and Ferguson and Baltimore were just about Cop Brutality and making America Better and more Just, and that only paranoid people thought it was anti-American and Divisive. Turns out the Russian Intel doesn't agree with that assessment, and saw it as an opportunity to create promote racial unrest and chaos in it's rival USA.

But wait...
Exclusive: Russia Used Facebook Events to Organize Anti-Immigrant Rallies on U.S. Soil
Pushing fake news was just one component of the Russian campaign to shape American minds. Part two: organizing anti-immigrant events echoing themes from the pro-Trump press.

Russian operatives hiding behind false identities used Facebook’s event-management tool to remotely organize and promote political protests in the U.S., including an August 2016 anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim rally in Idaho, The Daily Beast has learned.

Facebook refuses to release ads, Senate and House uninterested.

Why?

Because they're pushing LGBTQ and BLM stories, that's why.

Better to shut up and let undescribed allegations float than to officially reveal the ads that Russia promoted pro-Left ideas.

Had they been pro-Trump, you'd have seen them by now.

I believe that russia has a left wing attack battalion and a right wing attack battalion against U.S. Right wing battalion consists of internet trolls feeding fake news and sensational stories while left wing battalion consists of much more respectable figures that one may find on RT america such as Redacted Tonight, Watching the Hawks, etc....

It is actually funny to watch american right wingers conclude that Vlad is on their side. They just cannot see forest for the trees after consuming maggots for decades in the form of fox news and right wing hate radio.

The Kremlin's aim is definitely to divide and conquer U.S. based on unresolved underlying american conflict between Right Wing Culture Warriors vs Social Justice Warriors and to a certain degree between forces that represent Bernie Sanders vs Ayn Rand. Like Nikita said, "we will bury you!"

The Russians Done Did It Sez CNN

With help from the Celto-Communist Conspiracy, the IRA branch.

The campaign, titled "Don't Shoot Us," offers new insights into how Russian agents created a broad online ecosystem where divisive political messages were reinforced across multiple platforms, amplifying a campaign that appears to have been run from one source -- the shadowy, Kremlin-linked troll farm known as the Internet Research Agency.

A source familiar with the matter confirmed to CNN that the Don't Shoot Us Facebook page was one of the 470 accounts taken down after the company determined they were linked to the IRA. CNN has separately established the links between the Facebook page and the other Don't Shoot Us accounts.

The Don't Shoot Us campaign -- the title of which may have referenced the "Hands Up, Don't Shoot" slogan that became popular in the wake of the shooting of Michael Brown -- used these platforms to highlight incidents of alleged police brutality, with what may have been the dual goal of galvanizing African Americans to protest and encouraging other Americans to view black activism as a rising threat.

The Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts belonging to the campaign are currently suspended. The group's YouTube channel and website were both still active as of Thursday morning. The Tumblr page now posts about Palestine.

All of the aforementioned companies declined to comment on the Don't Shoot Us campaign. Representatives from Facebook, Twitter and Alphabet, the parent company of Google and YouTube, have agreed to testify before the Senate and House Intelligence Committees on November 1, according to sources at all three companies.

Tracing the links between the various Don't Shoot Us social media accounts shows how one YouTube video or Twitter post could lead users down a rabbit hole of activist messaging and ultimately encourage them to take action.

The Don't Shoot Us YouTube page, which is simply titled "Don't Shoot," contains more than 200 videos of news reports, police surveillance tape and amateur footage showing incidents of alleged police brutality. These videos, which were posted between May and December of 2016, have been viewed more than 368,000 times.

The promotion of Police Brutality stories certainly helped Trump get elected, and those who became active in anti-Police Brutality endeavors indubitably voted TRUMP.

Russia helped Trump get elected by promoting Police Brutality, Gun Violence, and other BLM-style issues! Don't you understand?!

Wait--so now anonymous sources from CNN are believable again?

Can you give me the code for how you know when they're fake news and when it's truth?

That's really easy. Anything scoops agrees with is truth. Anything scoops disagrees with is fake news. Same criteria as Trump.

So wait, the CNN article is Fake News?

What do you think of Tillerson allegedly calling Trump an idiot, based on no named source? Is that fake news? Or is it real because you'd like it to be?

Reason I think it's likely true is because Facebook announced weeks ago they weren't going to reveal the ads. If they were obviously pro-Trump, right-leaning ads, they'd have released them by now.

I'm asking you McGee. You posted on here multiple times that any story with anonymous sources is FAKE NEWS. Especially a CNN story.

How can you now post this on here as if it's true???

Once again I'll say--Hypocrisy, thy name is McGee.

These are not mutually exclusive categories. The objective is to destabilize society. Idea is to use openness of society to cause as much friction as possible with the eventual long term goal being elimination or severe restriction of freedom of the press. Russia may share same long term goals as bin laden did which is eliminate as much freedom as possible in united states.

What Russia has obviously done is to cater to groups dominant in the region. So, in areas with nationalist/conservative ethos, they would use facebook ads/fake new to fire up the target demographic. Conversely, in liberal leaning areas such as San Fran they would lease a channel on Comcast for RT america where they would cover stories from anti-capilalist and anti-authoritarian bent to deligitimize economic system as much as possible. In is actually a pretty comprehensive and sophisticated multi-faceted operation and most americans (both right and left) have never seen anything like it and are incapable of comprehending it due to being in ideological echo chamber for decades now.

Fake news to you is whatever you don't like to hear. Has nothing to do with facts.

I've posted that the MSM are willing to smear the Administration with unprovenced rumors, yep.

Contrast screenshots, websites, website archive images, and where the links went to is a lot more to go on than the mere "I heard it from an unnamed person allegedly in the Trump Admin". That, and the "Contrary to Interest" angle of the story makes it more plausible.

I've previously mentioned that in the past, Editors demanded more than "All I have is the word of a source or two I don't wanna identify." - they wanted at least a supporting document or two. Putting up the material evidence - such as the Pokemon Screenshots - of the Russian Ads by CNN adds to the story's plausibility.

Contrast that to say the "Tillerson said Trump was an Idiot" where no documentation or audio records or anything other than "unnamed source" was provided.

Except mine has some collaborating evidence and many of the stories TDS sufferers on this board support do not.

The Tumblr page that promoted the contest no longer posts about U.S. police violence. It now appears to be devoted pro-Palestine campaigns.

Heh, another subject that really resonates with Trump Voters, esp. Evangelicals... Pro-Palestine. Boy, the Russians sure motivated the Trump Vote.

Collaborating evidence like anonymous sources? Perfect.
