It's their inept local government, they are incompetent, incapable, worthless corrupt bureaucrats. It's why that crazy chick yells so much at Trump.

This isn't US or Trumps fault, local incompetent bureaucrats just don't accept responsibility for their own incompetencies. It is why US aid is coming to Puerto Rico, but not getting from US through local authorities to the people. This is why liberals need to stop electing SJW's who have no competency to get anything done.

Armed federal agents raided a warehouse in Puerto Rico and seized materials that were supposed to be used to rebuild the island's electrical infrastructure that was damaged by Hurricane Maria but were instead hoarded by the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority. Federal officials then began distributing the materials to contractors who are repairing the electrical system.

Good thing there were competent government bureaucrats for storms like hugo, andrew, katrina, irma otherwise thousands of people would have died and aid would have been a mess. Oh wait, those were totally bungled responses where thousands of people did die and aid was a mess, never mind. Good thing the US government didn't run up way more debt than can ever be paid off like PR. Oh wait, 20 trillion in debt, never mind. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

I was in PR in July for 2 weeks .Drove all around stayed at hotels/airbnb, went to restaurants, movies, walmart/home depot/rite aid/books a million/etc. sailed, surfed, wakeboarded all with no problems. Everything is up and running just fine, or at least no more fouled up than normal. I'm sure there was plenty of bungling, confusion, corruption, and incompetence after a cat 5 hurricane strike. There always is with a major disaster anywhere.

Will NPR do any retractions?

I doubt it.

She's blaming Trump for it.

Trump is a boogeyman to the left. Find problem > blame trump > get 10000 retweets from bots and brainwashed fools > repeat

Yes, all governments are worthless when it comes to helping citizens, regardless of their political leanings. Puerto Rico has also increasingly become a hub for "illegal" drug distribution. Another victim of the War on Us.

This is commonplace everywhere in the world. I'm an elected official and am the treasurer. I have full access to the bank accounts. I could literally take $20k tomorrow and it would take a month for anyone to notice. I'd never do that as I have zero interest in jail and that whole scene. I'd rather be broke, which I'm not, so not worries on either scenario.

Look up Rita Crundwell (sp?) Dixon, IL. She flat out just took money for years. Wikigaydia but whatever: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rita_Crundwell
