Climate Change is Not New

Try to find the earths average temp? The evidence is obscured in anomalies and double talk to obscure the lack of cataclysmic warming.

The alarmists want you to believe that the "earth has a fever" and modern warming is unprecedented over human history. Not only do they deny the medieval warming period they want to deny the well documented little ice age and climate's natural variation. They even have the arrogance to say that ALL modern temperature warming is caused by man's activities.

Don't let the alarmists spread their propaganda.

You do know the medieval warming period wasn't global don't you?

I missed the part in the article where anyone denied the medieval warming period or little ice age. Want to cut and paste it for us?

Some will be disappointed about global warming.

What did I deny? The history and science are both out there to support that the mwp wasn't global and happened at different times in different places. You would be the one denying. Greenland was finished with the warming period hundreds of years before it started in europe. Glaciers in the american west advanced during the whole period.

Well look at that, all the regions are moving up starting the the late 1800's. It doesn't happen at any period previous to that. They average out with some cooler and some warmer. That's what is meant by GLOBAL warming. .

You have any proof the mwp was global?

Did you even look at the link?

Many scientists are backing away from global warming cataclysm because the evidence is not there.

Look to the other thread for more proof of the worldwide MWP.

I hope this warming lasts. Unfortunately the records show that the MWP was a degree or rwo hotter than now and the Roman warming was a couple of degrees warmer still. After each warming we go through a chilling. The most recent was what is called the little ice age.

The consensus among informed climatologists is that the sun heats the earth and the sun goes through well known cycles.

If it wasn't for the greenhouse effect, mostly caused by water vapor, earth would be a frozen rock. Hopefully we are not headed into a new cooling period. Man does better if the earth is not frozen.

I read the link just fine. I wasn't aware that the word china was a synonym for global. You learn something new on patnet every day.

co2science is funded by exxon so their credibility is pretty suspect. But I read it anyway. There is nothing there that says the mwp is global or continuous. It was all if then this and maybe that. like this example.

With respect to the world as a whole, the authors conclude that, "concerning the Medieval Warm Period (MWP), it is currently known that, from the 9th century to, apparently, the mid-15th century, the climatic conditions were warmer than during most of the subsequent five centuries, including the early 20th century." In some places, in fact, it was even warmer during the MWP than it was during the latter part of the 20th century.

Note the words like IN SOME PLACES, MOST OF, and EARLY 20TH CENTURY as in the early 1900's. This is right from co2science.org. Apparently you can't even get exxonmobile's flunkies to back you up.

There were a bunch of summaries.

Show which ones document the mwp as sustained and global. Still waiting.

Can't help you if you won't look or don't believe the evidence of worldwide MWP.

Do you deny the little ice age and the natural variation of climate as well?
