President Donald Trump’s proposal for comprehensive tax reform was almost immediately dismissed as heartless and impractical by his political opponents.

When the same ideas are packaged under Bernie Sanders' name, however, liberal college students excitedly endorsed them.

To find out, we headed to George Washington University to ask students their opinions on Trump’s new tax plan. WIthout much explanation, the students immediately made clear their distaste for the plan.

“It’s not the most efficient, nor beneficial to the general populus,” said one student when asked her opinion of Trump’s plan.

“It’s better for the upper class than anyone else,” added another.

After watching student after student express their disapproval of the plan, we then asked those same students what they thought of Senator Bernie Sanders’ new tax plan.

Immediately, they expressed excitement and support after hearing the details of the plan.

The only problem for them? There was no tax plan for Senator Sanders. The plan they loved was actually President Trump’s.

How did they react? Watch the full video to find out!

Probably the same crowd which eagerly lined up to sign a petition to legalize 4th trimester abortion. =))

It surprises you that they were able to find some dumb college students? I've always disliked this type of "investigative reporting" or whatever you want to call it. We have no idea if they only talked to 20 students and 10 of them were like this. Or they had to talk to hundreds to get this video. Education does not equate to intelligence either. So I always find it funny they go to a University for this type of thing. Like everyone there should be intelligent or something?

I don't recall the Bernie tax plan, but I'm sure if you cherry picked three items and asked a bunch of people in rural Alabama to compare, the results would be real similar. I'm not sure what the point of the videos though. You know you're going into a liberal/democrat/left wing hotbed, a University. And for some reason the results, at least by the fact this is being posted, are some sort of revelation or new discovery about people blindly supporting something? They knew what the results would be before they pulled the camera and microphone out of the case. I'm just glad it's their time and not mine wasted in capturing the obvious.

This does have some humor value to it though for sure. And please remember, most people are stupid. It's just to what degree.

Aren't college students supposed to be smarter and more informed than poor rednecks in rural Alabama?

Speaking of which, this is my favorite video showing how racist rich white liberals are thinking black people are total idiots incapable of using the internet or getting IDs.

Yes, probably in 80% of the cases. Unfortunately college admissions is not a fair game and some of those rural Alabama residents get in because, well, quotas.

I was more or less pointing out the absurdness in the production of the video in the first place. Let's say you're looking for an all inclusive vacation. You have two resorts. Hedonism II and Sandals. You're looking to confirm something that you believe. That wild public sex happens when people go on vacation sometimes. Where are you going to confirm what you already know?

The thinking goes something like this:

"Hey, I've got an idea. Let's tell liberal students that Bernie has a new tax plan, and ask students how they like it, telling them a few details. Some of them will not listen or not even think about the details, they'll just say they like it because it's Bernie's."

"And then whether it's one tenth of the people we ask, or one half that don't notice of understand any of the details, we'll just play the video response of the ones that don't listen or understand. So the result would imply that the tax plan is actually good, and stupid liberals only hate it because it's Trumps plan. Or perhaps it will make the liberals look stupid for so strongly assuming a tax plan from Bernie would have to be be good."

Brilliant right ? No, not really.

I thought it was enlightening when all of the college kids admit they automatically tune things out when it is associated with Republicans or Trump. I have many liberal friends and family in California that agree with me on over 80% of the issues if we go line by line. They are just wedded to the idea of being part of the "cool" party.

Democrats have a massive advantage since they control Hollywood, Academia and the Media to shape our culture and perceptions. It's amazing to me that Republicans can win office at all when faced with these headwinds.

Oh I agree with this for the most part. I just don't think it's a Trump phenomenon. Both sides constantly bludgeon each other over fringe issues. When it comes down to it, most people are like what you said, 80% on the same page. You'd think we're standing on opposite sides of the Grand Canyon with videos like this, when in reality we're sitting on opposite sides of the dinner table most the time.

It's just at some point these type of things are just rubbish. Like Jay Leno doing his Jay walking shtick. People watch and question, "are Americans really that dumb?" Yes, a certain percentage is dumb as fuck. Wonderful products that they are, iMovie and Adobe Premiere make it so the average person can completely manipulate others through media. So not only do people have to filter through regular garbage (major media), they now have to sift through the maggots (small media & individuals with followings) within the garbage.

I guess confirming a bias or opinion by going to the place you know what the results will be is silly to me. Maybe some of those students will now be enlightened by what happened to them? Sure, some. There's a reason most did what they did in the first place. Again, attending University does not grant one intelligence. It's education. Regurgitating everything about the Roman Empire as a history major does not make one intelligent.

Priceless - reason number 156743563256 not to be a brainless leftoid.

Yeah but the difference is that leftoids claim higher intelligence, intellect and education and try to ride many arguments home with this bullshit while in reality they are not only as dumb, but likely dumber than rednecks. You'd think that people claiming the moral and intellectual high ground would not be so dumb and easily fooled, yet they just follow their leftoid church blindly moreso than the rednecks, and yet they have the audacity to non-stop mention that the bible-belt blindly follows their church. At least most so-called rednecks I came across never claimed intellectual high-ground (sometimes the moral high ground based on the scripture).

Exit polls show white evangelical voters voted in high numbers for Donald Trump, 80-16 percent, according to exit poll results. That's the most they have voted for a Republican presidential candidate since 2004, when they overwhelmingly chose President George W. Bush by a margin of 78-21 percent. Their support for Trump will likely be seen as part of the reason the GOP candidate performed unexpectedly well in Tuesday's election, according to Five Thirty Eight.

White evangelicals are the religious group that most identifies with the Republican Party, and 76 percent of them say they are or lean Republican, according to a 2014 survey. As a group, white evangelicals make up one-fifth of all registered voters and about one-third of all voters who identify with or lean toward the GOP.

Evangelicals also play prominently in swing states like Florida, where they are anticipated to make up 20 percent of the state's votes. There they polled 85-13 percent. Their support for Clinton at 16 percent was less than evangelical support for Obama of 20 percent in 2012.

Trump's candidacy has caused a huge divide among evangelical leaders, but evangelical voters coalesced around him as a presidential candidate, many citing his promise to appoint Supreme Court justices who would overturn Roe v. Wade.

Talk about headwinds. Knowing this going into any election, how can one ever be surprised when the Republicans win? Seriously

It was in response to @socal comment that he was surprised that Republicans win any election. How on Earth could anyone be surprised that the party of mindless Christians ever wins elections? They vote ~80/20 Republican because they’re dumb enough to fall for some stupid bullshit about abortions.
17   MrMagic   2017 Nov 2, 3:21pm

Probably a good time to revisit this, based on the comments today by our resident liberals.

Sniper said "I saw the interview with the guy who did the video. He said he didn't cherry pick"

LOL - and you believed him? Really?

In what universe would he ever admit anything other than that?
21   anonymous   2017 Nov 3, 10:08am

Nope - you and I both are third party viewers of self serving testimony about what someone said "was true".

You believed it, because you want to believe it. I am skeptical because I know that (when asked) he would NEVER admit "oh I had to interview 100 people to find 10 fools to support my agenda - it was exhausting".

IOW - self serving testimony from him lends nothing to determine the truth. Make available a 6 hr rolling uncut, unedited video available if it really is true.
22   anonymous   2017 Nov 3, 2:22pm

There's no hyperbole in asking him to produce the original.
