It's kind of interesting that San Francisco has pretty shitty infrastructure in general, and yet remains the tech capital of the country.

I attribute it to the overwhelming natural beauty of the place, vc capital, and history going back to Fairchild Semiconductor.

Patrick, I have some family playing a small role in the build of a condo complex in downtown SF.

The amount of hoops and lawsuits that have impeded normal capitalist business practices would blow your socks off.

Seriously, try building anything in that city and tell me how that works out for your blood pressure.

Impede and block has become the default policy in SF. Street shitting bums and sanctuary practices must take priority.

It is ironic that while the Bay Area is the world capital of hi tech, it is not an especially good example of the successful adoption of it. Nevertheless the Bay Area is such a nice place to live and hi tech execs can afford to live wherever they want.
