Very ironic that Donna Brazile is writing this, but the information confirms a lot of what everyone expected. Wasserman-Schutlz was a Clinton surrogate running the DNC and making sure Clinton won.

https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/11/02/clinton-brazile-hacks-2016-215774

"The agreement—signed by Amy Dacey, the former CEO of the DNC, and Robby Mook with a copy to Marc Elias—specified that in exchange for raising money and investing in the DNC, Hillary would control the party’s finances, strategy, and all the money raised. Her campaign had the right of refusal of who would be the party communications director, and it would make final decisions on all the other staff. The DNC also was required to consult with the campaign about all other staffing, budgeting, data, analytics, and mailings."

It's too bad--we could have had President Sanders and a much, much better path for this country.

In a 2-party pseduo-democratic system of government such as as in the US, the primary election is the only institution protecting the country from tyranny, specifically from the tyranny of the influental.

That protection is very weak, because the primary is so easily rigged by applying relatively small amounts of money, or, as in the case of Hillary Clinton, by controlling the insiders of the party.

With some form of proportional representation election system, the 2-party duopoly will be broken and real democracy will be achieved.

Sanders wouldn't have won he would have done worse than Hillary did.

Sure we would, want to tell us all the great things he's done for his state and America with his two decades in Congress?

True, If he made to the General Election, he would have been shown to be the Socialist and empty suit that he really is.

Brazille was on the board, which is supposed to oversee operations. It seems like trying to throw all of the blame on Schultz, where a lot of it belongs. But from this article, it looks like the whole board including Brazille are equally to blame for failure of oversight.

The other thing being missed here is that Clinton was hoarding control over money that she raised, and from the article it looks like Clinton was the only person keeping the whole Party from going Bankrupt. They came up with this agreement because they were over a barrel due to Schultz and the board failing to do their job. If the DNC didn't come up with this agreement, Clinton would have found another vessel for fundraising (Super Pacs). It's not like she would have done all of the fundraising early on and given half of the money to Bernie. That would be ridiculous.

In hindsight, I think Bernie would have done a much better job against Trump. He certainly couldn't have done worse considering a loss is a loss.
But it's hard to predict these things.

Brazile is clearly trying to help her reputation here as this is a VERY self serving piece. She's the one who gave some of the debate questions to Clinton after all. She needs to go along with all the old Clinton crew.

That's why the fake Trump protestors were blamed on Bernie supporters. Yeah yeah that's the ticket.

Do you really have to be a socialist just not to be corrupted?

Oh shit--you mean you have a stupid meme? I give up. That proves everything I have ever believed was wrong.

Enlightening stuff! I guess when you get down to it, it’s always all about the money. Clinton bought the primary and was duly served the nomination. The voters never had a chance.

I also believe we’d have a President Sanders today if he was given a fair shot at the nomination. It would have been an election like McCain or Romney where the electoral votes were clearly not even close. Boomers would still go for Trump and been just as disappointed as they were when McCain and Romney failed to be winning candidates. But Boomers alone cant elect a POTUS anymore. The young would be for Bernie, and he’d get all the other ethnic sub groups as well as the idealistic and the Left leaners. The one group who would have hated him was the Left elitists, but they would have held their noses and voted the party line so the big orange bastard didn’t win.

It wouldn’t have even been close.

But Hilldawg came through! Aren’t you Democrats proud? LOL

Dream on...with the clintons involved, sanders never had a shot as a dem. Also remember, she deserved the nomination because she was the most experienced candidate for the office.

Yes, Bernie would have lost by a lot more.

The one group who would have hated him was the Left elitists,

—————-

And the Simpletons who have been programmed to always vote Republican without knowing why. They can’t think anything through, and certainly would have spent the next ten years angry and posting stupid memes, while blaming everything on Bernie
