Rule 1: Keep whatever you post, especially pictures and video, SAFE for WORK. No nudity as the main thumbnail for your topic, or pornographic videos, etc. Some of us love to debate politics but don't want to have cached images of naked grannies on our computers at work.

Rule 2: No other rules, except keep the personal attacks to a "reasonable level". No DOXXING, or posting people's personal information. You can name call, hurl political insults all you want, but if you try to DOX someone, that's beyond the line.

Rule 2 (new): Per Patrick's wishes, please keep personal attacks to a minimal level. I'm not going to jump the gun on people slipping once in a while but repeated name calling that is clearly personal attacks will now be edited or completely deleted.

Everything else stays the same. Enjoy!

I will assume that really means no insulting other people here, but it's OK to make insulting comments about Weiner's weiner, etc. Correct?

Well, I was originally going to allow people to use personal attacks and really just cut down on the doxxing threats, and NSFW media. But recently it seems like Patrick wants to tone down all personal attacks, so I have to edit that rule now.

Yes, let's nuke personal attacks and stick to productive conversation.

Two rules that could be safely handled without the need for a moderator who alienates a good number of people on here, wouldn’t you say?

If people follow the rules, and consistently do so for a long period of time, maybe I won't be needed. Considering the previous environment which was basically a free-for-all, I'm doubtful, but we'll see.

I still want a clarification on if it's OK to insult a politician.

Oh yeah, go full ham on people in the public sphere.

However if Hillary Clinton did post on PatNet and you started calling her a murderous traitor, I'd have to step in (despite your comments probably being true).

Politicians exist to be insulted. Anyone who claims differently needs more FREEDOM in their diet!
