In an interview, Weinstein said that people generally misunderstand what happened to Polanski at sentencing. He's not convinced public opinion is running against the filmmaker and dismisses the categorization of Hollywood as amoral. "Hollywood has the best moral compass, because it has compassion," Weinstein said.

I think his compass is broken, but he is a libbie, so he lives in some sort of alternative reality.

I remember reading years ago that Polanski was into REALLY young girls. The plying them with quaaludes and champagne was just icing on the cake.

Nowadays, it usually takes half a dozen to a dozen episodes until maybe one might come forward. In Polanski's day, it was probably dozens, with all of the stage mothers eager to use any means to get their daughters in front of the camera.

The moral algebra of psychopaths is certainly not the moral algebra that most people think of.

It is kind of curious that all these accounts are coming forth now all at once. One wonders if there is somebody behind the scenes contacting all these people and offering to indemnify them against retaliation if they come forward.
