Trump's Christmas Card includes the forbidden word "Christmas"

http://dailycaller.com/2017/11/28/people-are-noticing-something-very-different-about-the-trumps-christmas-card-vs-obamas/
In 2016, the Obamas released their final White House Christmas card. It did not once mention the word “Christmas.” The card read “Happy Holidays” with a message about the new year. There is an accompanying photo of Obama and his family. The card was also signed by the Obama dogs Bo and Sunny.

On the other hand, the Trump’s Christmas card begins by saying “Merry Christmas,” along with a “Happy New Year.”

If you want to make the Democratic Party great again, a good start would be to consider that most people like Christmas very much, and don't like being jumped on for expressing good wishes. Why let Trump take all the credit for being on the side of ordinary people? Start saying Merry Christmas, and if someone doesn't like it, wish them happiness anyways, because they are the one being unreasonably dour and judgmental, and could use a little cheering up.

Apparently it was a short lived victory in the war on Christmas.

I'm an atheist who is half Jewish (by family tree, not practice). I say 'merry Christmas' when out and about, and have never had anybody attack me or give me any evil look. I'll also say happy holidays on occasion. However, once this stupid culture war heats up every year, I start getting pissed off when I hear 'merry Christmas.' Instead of happy feelings, it conjures images of Bill O'Reilly's smug ass douche bag face and the holier than thou assholes who take up his drum beat.

Jesus was born to command the whole world to eat the poor and minimize taxes.

Yea but was his mother really inseminated by a sky God, prior to loosing her virginity? Or was she just another cumslut with no account as to which random lay resulted in pregnancy, so she baked up a bullshit story about God impregnated her while leaving her innocence in tact

I'm an atheist, also part Jewish, part Catholic, who gets the smell of cinnamon candles, the smell of frost (it has a smell), and other wonderful sensations when I hear "Merry Christmas."

Everybody, have a MERRY CHRISTMAS.

5 minutes later, at the checkout:
"Have a Merry Christmas, Mr. Soyboy."
"WHAT?! It's CURRENT YEAR!!! Happy Holidays is an all inclusive term that everybody should be REQUIRED to use. Only rednecks say Merry Christmas any more. What are you, some kind of DUMB FOX VIEWER who thinks there's a War on Xmas on? Stupid Trump Voter! Let me speak to the Manager."
"Tim, c'mon, honey, let's go and pick up my son from his father's house. "
"No Tina, this is IMPORTANT. "
"Oh dear, you promised to take my son to the Kwanzaa Celebration. His father will be there. And can you lend him $100."
"Ugh, Fine." Shakes fist at cashier

Lol, today I got a Christmas card that said:

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

Why just sit on the fence when you can impale yourself on the fencepost?

The root of my objection to the insipid "Happy Holidays" non-greeting is the clear demand that America change beyond recognition to accommodate new minorities, rather than demanding that immigrants change to accommodate America. Our ideal used to be the "melting pot", of which I am a proud Irish-Jewish-Polish American product. "Happy Holidays" deracinates our whole country, makes us nothing but a generic and depressing strip mall for the world, with no history and no specific identity. We are nowhere and no one and nothing every time someone says "Happy Holidays". Just dollars and an increasingly porous and irrelevant border to be exploited and manipulated by elite globalists and anyone who gets here tomorrow, legally or not.

So in your opinion, the US as a melting pot with one of its core principles being freedom of religion, should force people to celebrate a Christian holiday?

No, where did I say anyone should be forced to celebrate a Christian holiday?

What I'm saying is that the majority should not be subject to the tyranny of the minority.

Just like in politics, the majority wins, and the majority of the country is Christian. (unless you're a SJW).

(blink blink)

I thought you were pro Trump/GOP? 30% of the population has the rest hostage right now Patrick.

You are for removal of gerrymandering and tough campaign finance reform then?

Are you for vote day as a national holiday, ex-felons being restored voting rights quickly, and automatic voter registration as well?

Care to re-state that more carefully? ;)

The representative democracy in America is not set by simple majority votes.

"Why let Trump take all the credit for being on the side of ordinary people" ?

When the ordinary people finally figure out how badly they got taken, why not ?

Should the Big Wonderful Yuuggee Great Tax Reform Bill get passed and signed into law this year - it will be the gift that keeps on giving to remind the ordinary people just how much their god in Washington loves them. Did I mention killing Net Neutrality ? The on going Wars ?

You just can't put a price on being on the side of the ordinary people now can you ?
