When I first started going to Las Vegas in the mid 90’s it was possibly the most Libertarian place in the world with a very do whatever you’re want as long as it doesn’t affect me attitude.

Now they elect leftists such as Catherine Cortez Masto.

They still have marginally restrictive gun laws, no income tax, a minimal state safety net, and a part time legislature. Cortez Masto has already supported much stronger gun control. Democrats supported by the waves of Kalifornians have pushed for a full time legislature and a bolder safety net.

We’ll see how much longer it remains a desert paradise.

Housing very cheap there for sure but they also make less a lot less money. Why not include salary difference in their article and not make it one sided?

Also Las Vegas people are miserable. Extremely miserable.

I would say a good place to retire due to no income tax and low cost of living provided that you don’t interact with the unhappy neighbors. But not a place to live and make money.
