Uh the 2nd amendment is a Constitutional right, states have been illegally trying to limit it. This is a good step in the right direction.

Perfect. Conservatives are all for states rights and limiting federal power except when they aren't. Why can't the far right come up with one story and stick to it?

The constitution always takes precedence over state law, even the states rights advocates will agree.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Concealed carry,not there.
Surrendering personal information at time of purchase, not there.
Requirements & restriction on forming "well regulated militias",not there.

2nd Amendment Freedomers can use pretzel logic to rationalize your support for infringement.

Don't 44 states have right to carry already?

No, I'm up for Constitutional rights. Constitutional rights trump all other levels of law (Federal or State).

Concealed Carry = "Bear arms"

Surrendering personal information or registration = "potential to infringe"

Militia = "The People"

You can use your state drivers license in all the other states

Why not license to carry concealed as well?

Well it just passed the House. If it passes the Senate, we will have 50 state concealed carry with just one license.

+100!
And cities! NYC has some weird gotcha laws on the books against clips and various other normal gun parts which allows them to confiscate legally declared and checked guns at their airport and imprison their owners. Some owners have declared their guns, in a checked and locked case, federally approved, and been tossed into Rikers island to await court dates for possessing guns in NYC.

This law needs to happen! Let’s all pray to Trump that it does!

And what if Texas enacts a religious defamation law whereby it is illegal to say bad stuff about Jesus or Christianity? States rights still ok? Or will you idiots acknowledge that CONSTITUTIONAL rights CAN NOT be infringed?!!!!

I will never spend money or travel to NYC. Not worth it to me.
