If you cared, why did you vote for the guy that wants to pass a bill that's the biggest gift to the 1% in history?
2   Tenpoundbass   2017 Dec 7, 8:57am

TPB is correct about this under Obama. Unfortunately he supports the same policies now under Trump.

Not so! You don't get to place final judgment on me or the people I support.
I was spot on in 2009 when Obama was standing arm and arm with T-Boone Pickens, Warren Buffet, Mike Bloomfield, and Bill Gates wagging their fingers at the 1% driving a wedge between the middle class wage earners, and the Unemployed professional Socialist comrades. The grotesque Irony was NOT lost on me and posted here countless times during Obama's 1% Rich bastard bailouts, while the Sheeple Idiots were all saying "Obama is saving the world from a global Depression!" Another out right lie that was full of Shit. Those same people swore up and down that by electing Trump the wonderful economy Obama salvaged would collapse. But that didn't happen and more of my friends family and loved ones are working than in the last 10 years or more.

I am standing on good solid ground with my Track record History proved me right time and time again, it's you guys that are on the downside of the Truth.

So if you want any redemption you'll have to wait until Trump's two terms are over and wait for the Historian's post Op.

You'll probably be wrong as always!

If you have an issue with it under Trump, are you willing to give back all your stock market gains the last year?

Sure. Put steeper capital gains taxes, especially on large trades and gains over a million dollars, and ear mark the money for something which benefits the general public: infrastructure bill, paying for an actual middle class tax cut.

Yes, I'd be for that.

Trump/GOP wouldn't pass anything like it in a million years though. I'll never have to put my money where my mouth is. :)

Just curious--which bill did Obama pass that you think was the biggest gift to the 1% in history?

I think when one party passes a Bill they didn't read on health care, and the next day. The Financial news are all giddy about the Health sector stocks rallying.
Is a good start, it all went down hill and rolled right into the 1% pockets from there.

That would be a better argument if all the health care companies weren't pulling out of Obamacare. I would think if they were making $$ like crazy, they would be all over it.

Show where T-Boone Pickens, Warren Buffet, Mike Bloomfield, and BIll Gates said the economy would collapse if trump was elected. I never saw that.

For someone with a track record history proved right time and time again you sure have a lot of trouble remembering the 1% bailout was bush. Truth TPB style.

Yep, trump has really done a hockey stick curve on number on the number of manufacturing jobs. oh wait that was bush and the stick was going down. Never mind.
14   anonymous   2017 Dec 8, 6:58am

Are there really people out there so gullible as to think Trump is going to bring manufacturing back ? Maybe we should all buy rental housing in Detroit and Pittsburg just in case ?

Haha have you looked at our budget?

Federal money is spent fighting wars and enriching the .01%. Raising taxes won't help the working class.

The empirical results are undeniable. TPB notes the ACA, an excellent example of Obama's body of work.

You are the one projecting your trump model into the future. Go ahead and tell us how/why trump will help the 1% to the detriment of the working class. I don't think you can

I will wholeheartedly agree that Obama didn't do enough to fight inequality. The empirical results show that the economy was tilted toward the 1% before Obama and continued to be titled toward them after Obama.

Have you looked at the tax bills from the House and Senate? They are the biggest giveaways to the 1% in history. Worse even than Reagan's trickle down nonsense. Eliminating AMT? Eliminating estate tax? Pass through income?
18   anonymous   2017 Dec 8, 9:18am

Taxes hit working class people harder than the 1%. This has and will always be true.

Raising taxes hits the working class, handing their wealth to the .01% who are crony connected to power.

Look at the direct correlation between increased govt size and increased wealth inequality. At the extreme, communism is wealth inequality taken to the extreme, wherein there is a ruling class elite and 99.9% of the population is dirt poor.

That's where we are headed if we don't embrace libertarian economic principles.

Why shouldn't the people paying the bulk of the taxes get a break? Do you want the people on the lower end of the spectrum who pay no federal taxes to pay less taxes?

Source? Just off the top of my head, I find that to be completely incorrect. Large government countries throughout Europe have much lower inequality.

Unregulated capitalism naturally leads to high wealth inequality.
