Saw this article earlier today on Yahoo about this guy who went by the pseudonym Mosul Eye while living in Mosul during the ISIS takeover. What I find interesting is that we don't hear much about are the moderates in the middle east that decry the extremist interpretations of the Quran that are the basis for IS/ISIL. My guess is that anyone who is moderate is shouted down and afraid to speak for fear of their lives. With nowhere to go they most likely shut up or give up the fight and join IS for fear of retribution. While I am completely in favor of a strict travel ban and immigration ban from countries that harbor and/or breed terrorism how do we go about making sure the moderates like this man are safe?
This guy was more than brave to do what he did. He deserves international recognition for his work to bring to light what happened in Mosul.
