Killing ACA would have been enough for me. Everything else is just icing.

He really has made Obama look like an ineffective fool when he has done all of this in one year compared to Obama’s 8.

Not much left for Trump to accomplish in the next 7 years. Champagne anyone?

Can someone explain what the benefits are of Trump's actions (e.g., removal of mandate in tax bill) directed towards healthcare? The premiums for my health insurance (plus 2 kids) jumped from just over $1k/month to just over $1300/month. Anyone seeing declines in their health ins. costs?

Our healthcare is a mess. Yes, Trump needs to fix it.
7   Goran_K   2017 Dec 21, 5:47pm

- Renegotiate NAFTA
- Build Wall / Reform immigration
- Elect another Constitutionalist to the SCOTUS

If Trump could accomplish those 3 additional things, I would consider him one of the best presidents of the modern era.
8   Goran_K   2017 Dec 21, 5:50pm

Seriously though, Obama was such an ineffective asshole, Trump is shitting all over his legacy in just 12 months.

Obama would never have gotten tax reform passed. He barely got ACA passed and that was his ONLY crowning gem of his presidency, now finished and gone with the killing of the individual mandate.
9   MisdemeanorRebel   2017 Dec 21, 6:45pm

You forgot the amazing "Cash for Clunkers" program, his other great achievement

It will be interesting to see how the system breaks down. People simply cannot pay more for health insurance than for housing, especially when the insurance cost rises 30% per year.

Will the Obamacare mandate be killed by the new tax bill? Not sure that the end of the mandate is still in the bill.

Howard Kunstler wrote that the country is being squeezed by two rackets: college tuition and medical billing. He's right.

Now you should be able to buy a plan that doesn’t include everything listed in the Obamacare plan requirements. This FREEDOM should allow you to buy a cheaper policy that fits your needs more closely without being penalized by authoritarian socialists.
I’d recommend renegotiating your plan with your insurer, or seeing what other plans are available at this time.
Alternatively, you could drop insurance and pay out of pocket for doctor visits, (still fairly cheap!) and perhaps just buy a catastrophic plan that covers emergencies only.

Growing up, my parents NEVER had any sort of medical insurance for anyone in my family, because they couldn’t afford it. We paid doctors directly when someone got sick and it was never that much. Then again, I think we got lucky that no serious illnesses happened which required hospitalization or surgery.

Anyway, you got options, and nothing is free in this life. Choose wisely.

At what point do more Dem voters wake up a realize that the people they voted for have been lying to them about Trump?

When will they figure out Pelosi, Waters, Schumer and more along with all the Liberal media (WaPo, NYT, CNN. MSNBC, etc) have been telling them lies, while the economy and jobs get better?

There are a few here like Patrick, Strategist, L&C and a few other have woken up to this fact. And there are some here that will never wake up, and get onboard, the bus will leave, but they won't be on it.

If you don't like what you see here
Nobody wants to take you prisoner
So let me make it nice and clear dear
The exit is right there
I don't mean to be rude dude
But you'd better change your attitude

I don't like what I see here

You're all invited to the party
You know you didn't have to come
No rotten apple gonna spoil my fun

If you don't like what you see here
Get the funk out
We won't try to force feed you
Get the funk out

You can't please everybody
But everybody cannot please me
That's why I do what I want to
So why don't you do, do it to, do it to me, hey
So if you don't like what you see here
You can always leave the country

I don't post much. I was put into "post moderation" after being attacked by one of the main moderators here. All my posts need "approval" before being posted.

Apparently users aren't allowed to defend themselve anymore and moderators are free to attack users as they see fit without any recourse.

The rules change so often, I write them in pencil and have worn out a bunch of erasers with all the changes....

Ditch NATO.
Renegotiate the Mutual Defense Pact with Japan making it clear that Japan is now responsible for defending the Home Islands and America is just to provide ancillary support however America defines it.
Abolish FICA taxes and replace it with a national sales tax instead.
Put us back on the gold standard.
Abolish the Departments of Energy, Education, HHS, and reduce the EPA from a cabinet level agency to a sub-bureaucracy of the Dept of Commerce.
Abolish federal employee unions.
Push for making all states right to work states. Require all union shops to hold elections on whether to approve of having a union represent the workers prior to negotiations for new union-employer contracts.
Make English the Official Language of the US.
New Voter Rights Act that requires government issued photo id where the issuing govern...

That, and, the Trumpublicans are keeping their butt plugs in 24/7, as hands free ejaculation is referencing a prostate massage. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

All that Trump has done is to show the rest of the developed world just how much he and his party can shit the bed.

Enjoy your little orange piece of garbage while you can. The rest of us, the 60% of us who disapprove of Trump have noticed, will vote, and after that will make congress and the senate hold these clowns accountable.

That seems like a loaded statement but sure- I'll take the bait. Yeah, I'm pretty angry. A lot of people are and more so than ever was during either the Bush or Obama years. That anger will be translated in a few months at the polls.

Cause California matters so much in national elections.

Watch an episode of the revived Roseanne and tell me how many of those people...the blue collar people in the states between California and New York...will vote against Trump, the one dude who has actually stuck up for them...

Interesting.

That is, not your fantasies about what constitutes winning. But rather your choice of a sexual metaphor (fucking over the evil liberals I presume).

Really, it's so different than what the liberals would be saying and thinking if they had won. It certainly wouldn't be about taking pleasure in fucking over the right wing idiots of the world. Far from it.

For the careful observer, there is a lot to be learned about what motivates the voters that empower our overlords.
