My wife got this customized ad from DSW which tries to sell warm clothes and puts in the weather forecast by customer zip code, playing off the recent very cold weather in other parts of the country.

Here's how our week looks, maybe we'll just break above freezing on Wednesday, the cold SUCKS, big time!!

At least it was so cold, the 3" of snow we got today was easy to shovel, because it wasn't wet.

shoes and the picture cuts off at the knees so you can't even see the shoes. Double-fail. They might as well have been trying to sell space heaters, or hot chocolate.

I am always amused at how people in CA bust out their Old Navy goose down vests when the weather drops below 65deg

It doesn' t matter what it feels like, it only matters what the wet bulb temp is.

It was -33C this morning where I am, -43C if windchill is factored in. That's -45F for those of you in the US.

I live in the northeast. GF wants to retire someplace warm, but she never goes outside except between the house and her car type of thing. I fail to understand why outside temperature matters to her at all. Actually I use air conditioning more than heating.

High's or Low's? Either way that's too cold for me. I prefer tropical climate's.
