New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio will ring in the new year with a 15 percent salary bump that adds up to more than what a minimum wage worker earns in a year.
Bill de Blasio, who takes home $225,000 a year, will begin his second term January 1, 2018, with a $33,750 raise, bringing his salary to $258,750 per year, the New York Post reports.

The mayor authorized legislation in 2016 that would give him the pay raise, which adds up to more than what a minimum wage worker in New York City makes in a year.

Trump just gave himself billions in tax cuts. At least the mayor is honest and forthright

Aaah liberal logic. I give myself a 15% pay rise from taxpayer funds-he is being honest and forthright.
I give the whole country a tax cut-where millions get to keep their own money instead of giving it to fat bureaucrats-Trump gave himself billions in tax cuts-LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't that nice? A politician that says he will rip you off, and keeps his promises, is the honest and forthright. I can hardly wait to vote for more of these honest and forthright politicians.

From the actions I've seen of de Blasio, he seems like one corrupt S.O.B.

De Blasio is the epitome of corrupt nepotism at work.

I’m no fan of this mayor, but reports say that he’s independently wealthy so it’s unlikely that he needs the rather smallish-for-NYC salary. I would venture to guess that he raised the salaries for future mayors who might not be quite so wealthy, in an effort to forestall corruption.
In this light, the salary raise might be an anti-corruption move, and thus to be applauded. Either way, I don’t live there, don’t pay his salary, and don’t really care.

If he donates it to charity, then this is believable. ( receipts required )

Breitbart forgot to mention he's not taking the increase. I wonder why?

Whore houses are a good charity to donate to.
