The United States has foolishly given Pakistan more than 33 billion dollars in aid over the last 15 years, and they have given us nothing but lies & deceit, thinking of our leaders as fools. They give safe haven to the terrorists we hunt in Afghanistan, with little help. No more!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 1, 2018

Ha ha ha. It was Obama who sent our tax dollars overseas to scoundrels like Pakistan. Didn't you hear Trump is refusing to send them money?
Makes no difference, right? Republicans are always the bad guys.

We are quickly entering into a golden age of advancement on every level of society. Mark my words, Trump will go down as the best POTUS ever.

In contrast the evil establishment of the D and R old guard will be remembered as criminals.

The Pakis were laughing at us for years because they realized that the less they controlled the Taliban, the more money we sent them for purposes of controlling the Taliban!
Pakistan is far more of a democracy than our dear leaders would like to believe, and democracies are a bad investment of “foreign aid,” because their leaders are more beholden to their constituents than the foreign powers that give them money.

This is basic international money politics.

Think about the coterie of cowards and incompetents going around right now begging Trump not to do this to Pakistan, or lend support to Iran. The same people, by and large, you gave you the Iraq War, the Libya Disaster, the Growth of ISIS by destabilizing Assad, was for democracy in Egypt that let the the MB taking over, kept supporting Terrorist Pakistan, and the Iran Deal that gave the rotten Mullah regime more legitimacy and billions of dollars.

They're nasty people, and so incompetent they don't even know it. Ben Rhodes, Hillary Clinton, Sam Powers look in the mirror and see genius at work, LOL.

I'm really hoping some LeftLibs try to make the case that Pakistan isn't a terror sponsoring state that shouldn't get cuts to Aid.

Kinda like maintaining the locks on the nukes...
After all, that will probably be the end strategy for keeping NK in the cage. Nuclear bribery.

How would Leftist handle the relationship with Saudi Arabia?

Oh wait, we already know.

The subject is Pakistan. As for Saudi Arabia, you'll notice a few months after Golden Don became President, they're letting women drive, announced a commitment to Moderate Islam, put all the Old Guard who previously backed exporting Wahabi Nuts out of power and often in prison, and will be reducing censorship in movie theatres and the internet.

Now, back to Pakistan. @Curious2

There was a demonstration in favor of terrorists and assassins with 25,000 protesters.
https://clarionproject.org/pakistanis-protest-terrorism-instead-against-it/
Instead they were protesting in support of Mumtaz Qadri, the terrorist who was executed in February for the murder of the governor of the Punjab, Salman Taseer, for the latter’s opposition to blasphemy laws. Mumtaz Qadri was Taseer’s bodyguard at the time of the murder which took place in 2011.

An estimated 25,000 people protested in the capital on Sunday in support of Qadri. Towards the evening they were fought riot police and paramilitary units who used tear gas and water cannons on the crowd. On their way into Islamabad they rioted, torching a bus station and damaging cars, motorcycles and other property.

Some 3,000 remained yesterday, staging a sit-in near the Parliament. They submitted a list of demands, including the execution of Asia Bibi, a Christian mother of five who was accused of blasphemy in 2010 after an argument with a Muslim woman over a bowl of water. She has been on death row since 2010 and has become an international cause-celebré.

Other demands reportedly include :

Recognition of Qadri as a martyr
Conversion of his jail cell into a national heritage site
Unconditional release of all Sunni clerics in prison including those on terrorism and murder charges
Assurances that blasphemy law
Removal of Ahmadis and non-Muslims in key posts

That's right, they want a bodyguard who became an assassin to be recognized as a national hero and have a Christian accused of blasphemy during an argument over water executed immediately.

The People of Pakistan are certainly NOT our Ally. Surveys of Pakistanis consistently reveal they are among the most Anti-American, Anti-Freedom, Pro-Jihad people on the planet.

We never were.

That's not "Don't Like What We Do" or Franco-German-SweetDen jealousy, cuckoldry, and arrogance, that's almost 2/3rds of Pakistanis see the US as the ENEMY.

It has NOTHING to do with the President's attitude, as this 2010 Pew Research Survey reveals. Obama was only believed to be capable of the "right thing" 8% of the time, in his second year.

It cannot all be carrots, sticks must be applied to Asshole Countries that hate us but take ridiculous amounts of Aid.

What would be even better is if H1-Bs from Pakistan could be halted. Why give a Job to an (Odds overwhelmingly suggest) America Hater when we can give it to an Indian or Israeli or somebody else that doesn't have such a shitty attitude about us?

I didn't see the mention of Republicans.
Everyone knows that not one dime of Republican tax dollars was spent on foreign aid in 2017.
We were busy with MAGA.

Pakistan not just hates us, they support terrorists that attack us. We are basically fighting a proxy war with Pakistan. And yet we give them money, when we should be bombing the hell out of them.

I notice an inverse correlation between your apparent conviction about Trumps greatness and evidence that it's the opposite.

I guess if you like to be a contrarian then this makes sense, because more people than ever before are terrified of this president and think he's unpredictable, unintelligent and incompetent.

He will go down in history to declare anything closely resembling, "I'm a stable genius."

Out of curiosity, what do you think, was it part of his genius to allow Wolff so much access to his presidency that only months earlier he totally didn't expect to hold ?
