Wait, didn't the Dems say the tax bill was a give-away to the 1%, who knew 90% of workers are in the 1%.

The great majority of American workers will see a boost in their paychecks due to the tax bill President Donald Trump signed last month, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said Thursday.

“We’re estimating that 90% of the workers are going to see an increase in take-home pay,” Mnuchin told reporters at the beginning of the regular White House briefing.

Mnuchin spoke after the Treasury updated its rules for withholding from paychecks. Employers should put changes in place “as soon as possible” but no later than Feb. 15, the department said.

Sniper, way to ignore all the math that's been posted on here. Let's trust Munchin words, kind like trusting Obama that everyone would save 2500 on their health insurance.

Does your memory only hold the latest news item that does not make sense?

We shall see come March when everyone who’s not a blue state elite starts getting fatter checks. My prediction is that Trump’s approval rating is going to have a nice little bump!

According to Goldman "the deficit will hit $750 billion in 2018, $900 billion in 2019 and $1.025 trillion in 2020."

Do you not have a problem with this?
8   anotheraccount   2018 Jan 11, 5:55pm

Just the extra increase of 275B in deficit from 2018 to 2020, you could give $1000 to every person in this country - not just a few select companies that are ripping the biggest benefits

Here you go: https://www.cbo.gov/publication/53349 Will you read it?

My stance on deficits has been consistent during Obama's and Trump's presidencies as my comments are proof. You flipped.

Jeepers. It's magic. Everybody wins. Especially the one percenters who will pay their congress critters to cut back Medicare after this explodes the deficit.

That's $1K more than they got when Obama was president, right?

So sad that the Socialists here aren't getting their bonuses from their employers.

Yep, very true... Sucks, doesn't it, that the country is happier with this new president versus the old, black one?

To leftie coasties, $1000 is chump change, to be spent on Organic Quinoa or Crossfit Gear on a whim.

Queue the Hall and Oates Song.

Haven't republicans been complaining that 50% of people or households don't pay income tax? If so, how are 90% going to get more take home pay? Maybe 80% of those 50% are retired? But only 15% or so of the population is over 65. Basic math does show that something is off with these numbers.

Yes, but the Dems want those same people to get a tax CUT, otherwise this new tax plan is unfair to low income people.

Sad, somehow, the Dems can't do math.
