Let's say you're a contract employee. Your state residency is in Texas, but you get a job in Ohio for two months.

It's January, so you go to Ohio and take your kids with you to stay in Employer Provided Housing.

You take your kids to the local Public School, and say "Well kids, for the next two months you're going to Washington Junior High. Let's go to the School Office"

What will the School tell you?

That you need 2 pieces of mail to prove your residency? Then you're OK to go.
