Driverless vehicles are just an increment to what exists today. Like having video calls over voice calls - slight enhancement that will not change anything significantly.

What will make "Location,Location,Location" less relevant will be technology that allows off the grid power and telecommuting. You can live in that remote mountain area if you have a well, composting toilet or septic system, solar power (newer batteries, more efficient voltaics, pellet heat), and internet access (WiMax or something new like neutrinos or tachyons). You would only leave for recreational reasons or to pick up supplies at an Amazon depot (if not dropped by drone).

Of course, young people will want to be where the party is, so not all would split for the boonies.
