The oceans aren't even getting deeper.
It does the same thing that happens when you pour a cup of water on the ground.

I wager that if were to wall off every inch of coastline around the world with a huge retaining wall. Most of the ocean would drain, and all of the dry land would be swamped with the displaced water. Or until the rivers stopped flowing. The Earth is a perfect WalMart desktop fountain, pour water in turn it on and watch the water recycle through it.

I love how the "scientific" alarmist articles like in the OP go on and on about rising oceans, but no where in the article does it state, HOW MUCH.

Why don't they actually list the AMOUNT of rise?? Maybe because if they did, they would get laughed out of any scientific groups they belong to.

I haven't seen this forum before but I'm actually speechless. Is someone claiming that the level of the oceans is not rising because rising oceans are compressing the Earth's crust? I'm no scientist but wouldn't compressing an entire planet create an enormous amount of heat?

The article says something completely different than the thread title.

You mean like a Geyser or something?
Or the deep oceanic Volcano vents that gushes back out the brine that was unable to convert to steam and be forced through the earth's aquifer system, up mountain tops to flow back down streams and empty into the ocean to start all over again?

I never said it's being compressed, like you are dishonestly trying to lead the OP. I said the force of the weight ontop of pushes the water on the seafloor into the Earths Crust.
To say it's compressed would say the water never goes anywhere just keeps getting more compressed in the can, and trapped by the compression of the weight of the Ocean which is not what I suggested at all. If that were to happen rivers, lakes and aquifers around the world would dry up.

Yes. The alarmists are trying to explain why Manhattan is not yet underwater from sea rise caused by ice melt caused by global warming which they now call climate change because the temp stopped rising.
Got it?

True, the article doesn't say much, just more fear mongering.

There are thousands of articles that state how much. Try NOAA for a start. https://oceanservice.noaa.gov/facts/sealevel.html

The alarmists? What alarmists? We was describing almost perfectly the case being presented by Tenpoundbass

The ones scaring children of drowning on the streets of Manhattan and being wetbulbed to death!

None of ya'll are going to come back here and admit I was right when the studies being conducted on this now confirms what I've been saying for years.

With every River, Run off and Ice melt running into the ocean, if the ocean wasn't like a bathtub with the drain stop pulled out.
There would be no land, the Earth would just be a Water planet with rocks miles bellow the surface.

That's if Rivers weren't fed by forces beneath the earth driven by forces that take place in the depths in the ocean. And that Flow is totally independent like rivers are a collection of condensation that collects more and more moisture until it runs off into streams. As they would have you believe now.

NO none of you will admit I was right on this or the millions of other things I've been right on at Patnet over the years.
