The Bay Area exodus is real and ongoing. The region leads the nation for outward migration, a new study has found.

From October to December, more people moved from the Bay Area than into the region, real estate site Redfin found in its quarterly migration report. The exodus follows a trend of people leaving the region, largely for more affordable inland counties.

The top destination for Bay Area residents looking to leave: Sacramento. About a quarter of Redfin users in the Bay Area hoping to move searched for Sacramento, the site said, followed by Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland and San Diego.

San Francisco's median home price is $910,060, according to Zillow, which in Sacramento, it is $314,300.

not a lot of space, and a lot of people. beautiful area (other than hobos ravaging the streets in some areas). But man, terrible city planners.

My wife and I are only staying because through some miracle, we were able to buy in 2012. In Danville. We bought low. That's it. We'll be here forever.

But why the fucking traffic is getting noticeably worse recently? I mean, shouldn't it be getting better with everybody moving out?

This. Leftoid incompetence and greed at full display. You need a 4x4 on certain streets yet they fine you close to $100 for overstaying a meter. Those corrupt bums need to be voted out.
