Central Banks don't control the stock market.

Look at US GDP before and after the invent of the modern Fed. It's night and day. The Federal Reserve has actually done a fantastic job at smoothing out the boom/bust cycles that were common prior to its existence.

And that's a measure of how much money I make, or how much money the federal government is raking in from taxes? What's that you say? The IRS was founded in the same year as the Federal Reserver? Causation, what!?

Even according to my accumulated Quicken graph, this one is pretty blippy and just seems a wash off of the standard January run up. January put?
