Iran threatens to 'open gates of HELL' and attack US bases after Israeli jet shot down
IRAN'S military commander has warned that his country will 'open the gates of Hell over Israel' after the country retaliated to one of its fighter jets being shot down by Syrian forces.
The comments were made by the Lieutenant Commander of the country's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Brigadier General Hossein Salami.
He also threatened the United States, saying that his country had the military power to destroy all American bases in the region.
Taunting the US, he said they would be better "to leave the region before its defeat."
Earlier today an Israeli F16 fighter jet was shot down after coming under fire from Syrian forces.
A spokesman for Iran's Supreme National Security Council said Syria's response was "a clear warning to Israel. The era of Israeli strikes on Syria is over."
