emphasize how we can and have adapted to what nature throws at us.
incapable of comprehending
The problem is some people refuse to adapt.
Sure it's easy to adapt: install solar panels, buy an electric car, reduce plane travels, etc...The problem is some people refuse to adapt.
And can we give global warming a rest until spring? There is snow on the bay area mountains and talking about how all the north pole ice is melting as it is increasing makes alarmists look ignorant.
No, the deniers that don't understand trends and changes in ice volume are the ones who look ignorant.
I think it is the alsrmists who should feel humbled. When islands truly are submerged, when you have real climate change refugees, when the poles really do melt, when you can actually show me a picture of real sea level rise, or any other alarmist prediction that actually came true, maybe there will be a real issue to discuss. Until then, for me, man made climate change will remain in the unproven pile. It is borderline in the disproven pile, but I keep an open mind.
Guy heyyou linked - human extinction as soon as 2030
The earth is warmed by the sun.
McPherson now says: It would surprise him if there was a human on the planet in 2026.
HEYYOU saysMcPherson now says: It would surprise him if there was a human on the planet in 2026.Nah, we'll only go extinct in 2126.
And clearly no one here cares. We'll all be dead anyway.
Getting people to change behaviors for the health of the planet in 100 yrs is apparently a bridge too far.
So, when the horse is out of the barn, then you'll believe. That will be very comforting for us.

Without green house gases there is no warmth?
Fact, CO2 represents zero threat to humans and is appreciated by our plant friends.

keep telling us it's warmed by CO2, you know, that trace gas. Could they be wrong?
Can you say "water vapor"?
Wait, are you saying that gas that EVERONE exhales on every breath isn't a threat? Plus, plants LOVE it?
This is the thing with denialists. They think scientists are idiots.
And then there are the confusions about the normal CO2 cycle: "Oh no we exhale CO2", but "hey plants consume it".
Other alarmists (see Weather's article above) see that the solar minimum is influencing the climate but claim that it will just "slow down" global warming for a few decades.
