An NBC Bay Area Investigation reveals a dangerous concoction of drug needles, garbage, and feces lining the streets of downtown San Francisco. The Investigative Unit surveyed more than 150 blocks, including some of the city’s top tourist destinations, and discovered conditions that are now being compared to some of the worst slums in the world.

The NBC Bay Area Investigative Unit surveyed 153 blocks of downtown San Francisco in search of trash, needles, and feces. The investigation revealed trash littered across every block. The survey also found 41 blocks dotted with needles and 96 blocks sullied with piles of feces.

It is now a big job to change San Francisco's diaper every morning. They are spending a shitload a day to clean the shit up every morning.
2   Y   2018 Feb 20, 8:16am

that explains their sanctuary city neurosis.
they need the illegals to pick the shit...

Comment from David Cargill Hall, Sr.

"Grew up near SF in the 1950s; it was a wonderous place then, Sutros Baths and the Miracle Mile. Then came Haight-Ashbury in the 1960s and Nancy Pelosi and the Dems gained control of the city. Been downhill ever since."

It's the new "Homeless Industrial Complex". Liberal delusional attitudes given force of policy toward the homeless, translated into tax sucking service bureaucracies that ultimately lobby for their own ongoing existence and funding in spite of being totally ineffective due to said delusional attitudes and proliferating token employees. The Homeless Industrial Complex should have logos and arm patches showing a pile of steaming shit covered with used needles. The bureaucracies WANT more homeless in order to GROW, like the schools want all of the illegal children to keep growing. GROW THE HOMELESS!

In Santa Cruz, they used to have newspaper articles welcoming the homeless because Santa Cruz "knew how to show them the proper compassion".

Welcome to the Great Socialist Paradise.

Mayor Giuliani was able to clean up Times Square in NY and bring it from decrepit to showcase. Maybe there is hope for SF, in that you have a person in the wings who can purge the homeless along with their filth and needles.
9   Ceffer   2018 Jul 6, 8:53pm

Give the homeless some straw, and they can make dung igloos out of the feces. Win-Win.

There is no hope for SF. None at all. They will never elect an evil Mayor like Giuliani, who can clean up the city. They like the shit they live in.

Street shitting has been taken to new heights. Liberal policy will keep pushing street shit to new records ?

San Francisco fountains are now officially turd launchers and turd howitzers. Flee the brown death!

Why doesn't somebody treat this like an ant/roach infestation.

Your recommendation is to kill people?
16   MisdemeanorRebel   2018 Dec 20, 4:29pm

Mandatory incarceration of the mentally ill. Put drug addicts on an Island as a Public Health Quarantine, like a drug-resistant TB Sufferer

Handing out free needles and both drug and mental illness half-way houses have been proven not to work.

Almost half the free needles distributed end up on the street.

It's funny, Libbies flip and sue for tens of millions if a hospital dumped a few dozen needles in a dumpster once or twice due to employee mistake, but happily write off 150,000 unreturned dirty needles a month that are either on the pavement or thrown in private/public trash cans for 'regular' trash as "No Biggie". AND, the users of these free needles are the #1 population demographic for having HIV and Hepatitis, much more so than any random collection of Hospital Patients.

Lefties will also whinge about unproven dangers from GMO Food and insist on Organic, while studiously ignoring that millions of people in the US are here Illegally and many haven't been vaccinated.

Just wait until the first few Government Sanitation workers sue the city for contracting Hepatitis and HIV in the course of their employment.

Handing out free needles

Depends work or not work for what. Free needles have proven to decrease infection with HIV, Hep C and so on, they can not cut down on number of homeless and addicts. I think distribution of free needles, which cost little, is actually a very good program.

In the day, they used to send out Hazmat teams in full regalia at 10-20k a day if a bloody bandage or syringe was found where it shouldn't be, plus fines and site inspections.

Of course, it is always the 'deep pockets' theory of selective enforcement. No windfall, no enforcement.

It's all good until the first city sanitation worker impales himself on a needle while removing a bag of ordinary trash from a standard park trashcan and contracts HIV.

His payout will be the equal of probably 20 years of free needle programs.

It'll be even worse if a kid jumps on a merry-go-round and sits on a needle.

Just a matter of time.
22   HeadSet   2019 Apr 25, 7:24am

Why not trade needles with drugs for bags of feces? That way the homeless clean up all the crap (or at least crap in a bag) and turn it in for the needles? Win-win!
24   Patrick   2019 Oct 28, 5:59pm

It's not just shit and needles. It's also smoke.

Ok read what you wrote here again slowly. Let me paraphrase: if we give them free needles, then the diseases don’t have a chance to cut down on the homeless population...

yeah, from that viewpoint FREE! needles is bad. However, FREE!UNLIMITED! heroin refills are good...just place buckets of it on San Fran street corners. It is surprisingly cheap to manufacture.
28   rigidmember   2019 Nov 12, 3:28pm

San Francisco is a complete shithole with idiotic politics catering to homeless and drug addicts. When we first moved here to the East Bay I used to love getting up early and driving my wife, then girlfriend, to work and hanging out getting coffee, lunch and going to the park etc. Now I avoid that place like the plague. The traffic is horrendous, parking is expensive and there are homeless everywhere. Why on earth would I subject myself to being accosted by some mentally deranged drug addict who just shit himself and is too lazy to pull up his pants but wants money from me? FUCK THAT!

San Francisco is the utopia for idiots. Please fall in line with the Idiotic Mayor, idiotic board of stupidvisors, idiotic DA and retarded tech bros while the City slowly crumbles right in front of your fucking faces.

FUCK THE HOMELESS AND THEIR SYMPATHIZERS!

FUCK SAN FRANCISCO!

Is it a coincidence that the number of homeless and bum camps exploded in cities that have free needle programs and a general lax approach to enforcing petty crimes including using/selling drugs in public?
