Real reason to ever wear shades is the dramatically decreasing Earth's magnetic shield. Could happen in a lifetime and apparently ours.

Wait, is plate tectonics stopping?
The Federal Reserve released a key monetary policy report to Congress Friday.
"Although there is no way to know with precision, the labor market appears to be near or a little beyond full employment at present," the report said.
"Valuation pressures continue to be elevated across a range of asset classes," the report also said.
There was little guidance on future rate increases in the report and it did not signal any worries about recent stock market volatility.
